Brooke and Katie are back after a whopping three months to catch up and reminisce on all the things we haven’t been able to cover since our hiatus. We discuss our roses and thorns of pop culture this year including Wonka being movie of the year, Taylor and Travis, BTS all being in the army, and the rise and fall of And Just Like That’s Che and Miranda. We also discuss Love On the Spectrum US returning for season 2, Zootopia opening in Shanghai, and The 1975 being one of the best concerts ever. For our personal roses and thorns we talk about Erewhon, meeting Mr. Morrow, Brooke’s autism diagnosis, and more. For our NTBABBs we talk about Amazon affiliate links and being grateful for not being married.

We discuss the iconic circumstances of how we all met, Dom becoming a Barb and meeting Nicki as a straight-presenting man, his evolving list of celebrity crushes, his college program, and more. Of course, we have to throw in a few hot topics that we’ve missed over these past couple of weeks including Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater, Barbenheimer Cardi B’s microphone incident, and of course, the latest happenings on And Just Like That. For our NTBABBs we discuss on call doctors that aren’t actually on call, bringing back the joy of going to a chain ice cream parlor, and fan projects at concerts.

Brooke and Katie reunite after a two week hiatus to rapid fire discuss many of the things we haven’t gotten to cover during our time off. We talk about our weekend trip to Atlanta for the Twice concert and Brooke’s birthday, including visiting the Center for Puppetry Arts, running into Momo and Nayeon at the Georgia Aquarium, and watching graphic sex scenes between Che and Miranda in And Just Like That. We also discuss Seven by Jungkook being raunchier than we ever could’ve imagined, Ariana Grande’s alleged divorce, Gigi Hadid smuggling weed, her ex Zayn on Call Her Daddy, Timothee Chalamet as Willy Wonka, Tokyo Toni’s latest antics, and almost meeting Mr. Morrow. Brooke and Katie recap Katie’s weekend in California, talk about inches on Twitter who think Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is going to be failure, and unpack who goes to Pink concerts and how she has been on tour for the last several years consecutively. We also rank what we would most to least want to do out of hiking Mount Everest, going to space, or going to the bottom of the ocean in a submarine. For our NTBABBs we talk about little girls with hot tool styled hair and how themed cars need to make a comeback.

Brooke and Katie give our honest review on Pixar’s latest movie, Elemental. We express our excitement and anticipation for the first openly non-binary Disney/Pixar character, Lake Ripple, the annoying people in the theater ruining the experience for us, and discuss what was lacking in the romance between the two main characters. We also go through every Pixar movie up to 2015 and speculate which characters were secretly (or not-so-secretly) on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. We talk about the most random collaboration in recent history: TxT and the Jonas Brothers! For our NTBABBs we talk about people who make their familial relatives their child’s godparents and parents who surprise gift their child concert tickets or a major life event. 

Brooke and Katie finally get to discuss our personal Super Bowl - the Duggar Family docuseries Shiny Happy People! We discuss everything we’ve learned about the IBLP cult, unfortunate follow ups on some of the commentators that include restraining orders for vicious abuse, unflattering things about the people involved that are conveniently left out of the show, and more. For our NTBABBs we discuss interrupting people to talk to them in the middle of the concert, and being mistaken for a conservative at work.

Brooke and Katie chat about BTS’ ten year anniversary and Festa, Mr. Morrow absolutely slaying, and a recap of Katie and Beth’s annual birthday bash. We also talk about the Stoney Clover Lane pride collection, Samantha making a cameo in And Just Like That, and Taeyong’s Shalala. For our NTBABBs we discuss mayonnaise haters and being attracted to Michael Cera.
