FBTT Ep.16 - 2003 Unocal World Pit Crew Championship

Back in the day, there was a shootout in Daytona, and each driver would receive a year's supply of beer for their trouble. The Bud Shootout always meant that the NASCAR season was just around the corner. In episode 89, our duo takes a look back at the 1998 Bud Shootout and the Bud Shootout Qualifying race. Two races for the price of one, with nothing on the line except pride and a lot of money. But not as much money as the NASCAR All-Star race.

SUPERCARS BABY! We're finally taking a look at the V8 Supercars Championship. Mark is one of the biggest Supercar fans there is and reviewing a Supercars race has been on our to do list for a while. In episode 88, we looked at  2011's race 5, the ITM Hamilton 400 at the Hamilton Street Circuit in New Zealand. We're going back to some grassroots racing and taking a look at ARCA's 2001 PFG Lester 150. This was the first ever race held at the Nashville Superspeedway, and it was fittingly held on Friday the 13th. This one features some great starters including a NASCAR veteran, a Hollywood stuntman, and one of stock car racing's top female racers. Enjoy our look back at this classic ARCA race!

We're headed down under for this episode of FBTT! We took a look back at CART's 1993 season opener on the streets of Surfer's Paradise on Australia's Gold Coast. In this episode of FBTT we look back at ESPN.com's 2008 list, "The 25 Greatest Race Car Drivers of All Time". The list was voted on by legendary drivers and motor racing personalities such as AJ Foyt and Jeff Gordon. We take a look at each driver individually and either agree or disagree with the ranking (Spoiler alert, we disagree a lot). We also go over our own lists of driver we think were snubbed from the list. Mark of course fights for Robby Gordon, as per usual. Enjoy!

Sam Hornish Jr, Dan Wheldon, Scott Dixon, and Helio Castroneves all had a shot at the title in the final race of the season. We're going back to the first ever cut off race for the inaugural Chase for the Nextel Cup. 15 drivers were still mathematically eligible for the Chase as the NASCAR Nextel Cup headed to the action track, Richmond International Raceway for the Chevy Rock and Roll 400. It was the first race of the sophomore Chase for the Nextel Cup and it was wrought with incidents and great racing that shook up the Chase field after just one round.
