This is episode 8 of the Futureproof podcast with host Taylor Nathaniel, Director of CLM. In this episode, Taylor talks to Sandy Stojkovski, CEO of North America at Vitesco Technologies.

We find out what attracted Sandy to the automotive industry, and how her family connections had an effect on her career choices. With her father’s influence and her sister’s interest in engineering, Sandy’s path was clear from a young age.  

Having dealt with many companies all over the world, Sandy discusses her professional experiences with different cultures. She says that to be successful in a global sense, she had to be a global-minded citizen. 

“To be a leader in this industry,” she tells Taylor, “you must be comfortable and capable of leading global teams, and that means people from all over.”

With a particular focus on the human element of her career, Sandy touches on the importance of flexible environments, particularly after lockdown and the adjustments to remote working. 

She also walks us through her biggest challenges and achievements, and what it was like to start a new business. Sandy reveals that founding her own advanced technology planning firm was a smart risk, but not without its challenges.
