    About this Episode

Joe Ball made a name for himself around the small town of Elmendorf, TX with his seedy roadside bar and his famous gators. As the bar grew in popularity, many of his young waitresses started disappearing. Did they just skip town, or did they end up as tasty gator treats?

    Missing Time and Alien Slime

In 1957, a Brazilian man reported being chased down by a flying craft shining a bright red light. His wild tale of what happened aboard the ship made for sensational news. There have been countless reports like his of people being taken against their will by beings not of this world. Is this obviously the work of space aliens, or could there be other explanations? What do you believe?

    Israel Keyes (Part 2)

    Israel Keyes (Part 2)

This week we continue discussing the crimes of Israel Keyes, starting with the horrendous abuse of Samantha Koenig.  The lack of prior planning, out of character for Keyes, eventually led to his capture.  Without the ensuing months of interrogation, we would have known very little about what actually happened to Samantha, along with Bill and Lorraine Currier.  Although he alluded to many other murders, the actual number of people he killed will forever be left to speculation because he refused to provide any details.

    Israel Keyes (Part 1)

    Israel Keyes (Part 1)

Are monsters born evil, or are they made? That is the great debate in the true crime community. This week we cover one of the most evil serial killers of the modern age, Israel Keyes. Keyes himself believed that he was born evil, and that nothing in his life lead him down the path he took. This path led him all over the United States, leaving a trail of victims, most of whom were never identified. After studying serial killers of the past, he was determined not to make the same mistakes.

    Darlie Routier: Vicious or Victim?

    Darlie Routier: Vicious or Victim?

On June 6, 1996, Devon and Damon Routier were stabbed to death in their Texas home while they slept. Their mother, Darlie, went on trial, was convicted for one of the murders, and sentenced to death. She has been steadfast in maintaining her innocence, and many agree that the evidence proves her right.  Was Darlie Routier railroaded into a conviction, or could she actually have been capable of such a heinous crime? And if so, why?

The Abduction of Jaycee Lee Dugard (Part 2)

We're back this week with The Abduction of Jaycee Lee Dugard (Part 2). When we left Part 1, Jaycee (11) had been abducted on her way to the bus stop by convicted sex offender Phillip Garrido and his wife Nancy. They've taken Jaycee 120 miles away to their home to be handcuffed and locked in a soundproof room. She is raped a week later by Phillip, and has no idea that for the next 18 years this will be her life. In Part 2, we discuss the struggles of those long years in captivity, and celebrate the triumphs that freedom would eventually bring. This episode contains discussion of child abduction and sexual assault. Listener discretion is advised.

The Tragic Deaths of Timothy Treadwell and Amie Huguenard

The Tragic Deaths of Timothy Treadwell and Amie Huguenard

Timothy Treadwell's life was on a downward slope full of drugs and alcohol. At the suggestion of the man who saved him from a near fatal overdose, he goes to Alaska to see the bears in nature. Upon seeing his first wild bear, his life changes forever, and he never touches alcohol or drugs again. This is all fine and great if the story had stopped here, but like all tragedies it does not. Tim's love for "his" bears became a deadly obsession, and serves as a warning to others to never cross that invisible line between mankind and wild animals.
