In Psalm 103:13 the Bible declares the character of God as one who cares – “As a father has compassion on His children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.” Please always remember that God cares about everything in your life, compassionately for that matter.In today’s text (Mark 4:25-41), the disciples of Jesus were sore afraid of the storm and they had to wake Jesus up from sleep and then asked the question “Lord, don’t you care that we perish?”Many of us have asked this question in different circumstances. “God, did you not see the doctor’s report?” God are you not aware of what a mess my marriage is?” “Don’t you see the little money I have left and yet the bills are mounting?” “Do you see how my children are struggling in school?! “Lord don’t you care?”The truth is, God cares. See what God wants us to do in I Peter 5:7 “Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you.”If only you knew and felt how your heavenly Father care so compassionately and constantly about you, you would have to love Him back. God is so near you that He hears your sighing. Your understanding this truth as a Christian will be your first step to realizing inner peace.
