    About this Episode

Episode 3: HOPP RADIO: Beatles Inspired Songs & More is the first installation of our radio station. On a HOPP RADIO Episode we will play and discuss Power Pop music from lesser known music. It’s all great Power Pop music, but it’s probably from band’s you may not have heard about, unless you're really into this genre. At the risk of being redundant, we realize that Power Pop music is already “Unpopular Pop” music according to Jon Brion, but you probably won’t hear these songs on your FM radio. We wanted to give the spotlight to more independent artists who wouldn’t normally get the type of promotion you’d get if they were on one of the major record labels. So, if you like what you hear, support these artists and buy their music.

On this Episode we feature music by:

    • David Novotny (Czech Republic musician In The Beat-les Style)
    • Stevie Riks (The Doo’s, famous Celebrity Impersonator)
    • Addison Love (Thoughts On Lunch?)
    • Vegas With Randolph (Legs & Luggage)
    • Your Gracious Host (Boomerang)
    • Young Beautiful In A Hurry (Royalty)
    • Kai Danzberg (Not Only Sunshine)

    PLUS ALBUM REVIEWS:
    Wes Hollywood (Dynamite) by Jessica
The Glad Machine (The Glad Machine) by Nadja Dee

Hop On Power Pop Episode 1: What Is Power Pop?

Hop On Power Pop Episode 1: What Is Power Pop?

Episode 1:  What Is Power Pop is a question that only a foolish person would attempt to answer. So, call us FOOLS! But we're music loving, geeky fools and we still have that blind childish ignorance that makes us fearless when we should know better.

Nobody is going to answer the question, What is Power Pop?, in a way that will make everyone happy. It's impossible. But, in Episode 1, we'll try to give some insight, in an educational manner that will start you on the trail of what makes this genre so special.

Note: Episode 1 is very different from all the other episodes that follow. There's no guest. There's not a specific focus on one band or even one song. It's a fast paced, sound effect filled amusement park ride. We wanted to keep the podcast FUN because it's FUN music.
