    My Top Two Habit Tips

    My Top Two Habit Tips

Join me this week as I share my top two HABIT TIPS, including:

    • WHY - and why uncovering the deeper driver is imperative to building a sustainable habit
    • Three questions to uncover your deeper WHY
    • Two pieces of writing advice that are applicable to any habit (that I think about all the time)
    • Exactly how to make a break a habit down into the smallest commitment (so you can do it even on your busiest days)
    • Building a habit from self-kindness (versus pressure, shoulds, urgency)

Next week, I'm going to share exactly how I establish a new habit. It's the process that I follow, I wanted to start here so that you can listen to this as a primer and use these tips when you listen to, and implement, How to Build a Habit.

This week: experiment and see how it lands for you, and I will see you here next week, and we'll talk all about how to build a new habit.

    The Great Reorganization

    The Great Reorganization

Join me this week as I share what’s REALLY happening when we’re doing something new and everything feels terrible.

I promise it is not what you think!

    • What the Great Reorganization means - and the exact cycle so you know what to expect
    • What things are happening beneath what you can see
    • How all of this relates to believing you ‘should be further along’ that you currently are

The absolute best thing you can take away is this: when everything feels terrible (BECAUSE you are moving towards something new), remember that all of your shit is being reorganized so you have the bandwidth and capacity to have what you are creating.

You will still feel uncomfortable at times, even when you know what to expect, but knowing what’s happening gives you much more choice over your experience.

What You Do to Get It, You Have to Do to Keep It

What You Do to Get It, You Have to Do to Keep It

Join me this week as I share why we have hustle culture wrong. The most important takeaway is - whatever you do to get what you want, you have to keep doing to keep it. Knowing this, you can uncover what you’re really desiring, and use that to fuel what you create.

Here’s what’s possible when you know the difference between creating from desire vs hustle:

    • Why ‘doing whatever it takes’ to create what you want usually leads to being disappointed
    • How to uncover what it is you’re *really wanting* (which is the reason you want the thing you want)
    • How to utilize your desire to create with self-compassion, befriending yourself, and using goals to pursue self-growth (rather than hustling, proving yourself, and seeking external validation)

At the Speed of Your Nervous System

At the Speed of Your Nervous System

Join me this week as I share about how to stop making decisions from external pressure, and begin making decisions and choices based on your nervous system (using your inner knowing).

Sometimes we gain awareness around something and our nervous system truly needs time to integrate that information but society tells us to move fast, go go go.

Here’s what’s possible when you move at the speed of your nervous system:

    • Learnings and education and lessons that are available within ourselves
    • Integrate, feel into, and process whatever we might need to before we make the external switch
    • Trust that that unfolding process is valuable for me/you/us
    • Live as a practice of our values rather than hustle culture
    • Fully intact nervous system, mental health, physical health as you move towards this thing

Meditation as a Lifestyle (vs a Strict Practice)

Meditation as a Lifestyle (vs a Strict Practice)

Join me this week as I share how I’ve changed my thinking about having a consistent practice - I no longer think it’s better than doing what actually feels in service (it changes day to day).

I have been challenging and questioning what I’ve taken on as meditation student, and how it applies to any practice - creative, exercise, writing, etc.

    In this episode, I share:

    • How to know if what you’ve learned still feels true (+ in service) to YOU
    • How showing up in real life is more important than being a perfect-practice-student (and a sports analogy that I hope makes sense - I am not a sports person!!)
    • How I see meditation as a life practice (rather than a sit-for-20-minutes-and-then-go-into-life-mindlessly-or-on-autopilot)
    • What I mean by living life as a meditative practice (with a real-life explanation)

Join me this week as I share my five favorite questions you can use to connect with yourself, with your partner, with a cherished friend, or with a new friend.

These are some of my favorite questions to ask ever, and I want to share them with you.

    In this episode, I share:

    • Five thought provoking questions (+ one bonus question) that you can use to discover + connect with yourself, a loved one, or new friend/partner.
    • How asking good questions can help us fulfill a core need we all have - to be seen, known, and cherished.
    • I hope you’ll take time this week to ask yourself these questions, and take time in the next week to ask a friend or partner these questions too.

What I’ve Learned About Creative Process from a Year of Podcasting

What I’ve Learned About Creative Process from a Year of Podcasting

Join me this week as I share the top two things I’ve learned about Creative Process + Creative Practice in the past year of podcasting.

    I share:

    • How to know when you’re actually ready to start a project idea
    • How I’ve developed a creative process that follows flow, intuition, curiosities, and what’s showing up in my life.
    • How a *consistent* practice (I talk about my relationship with consistency) changed the way I relate to my creativity - I have so much more trust and belief in giving voice to the ideas that are coming to me
    • I also share my exact process for developing podcast episodes - from how I come up to ideas to the workflow I follow.
