Both the hosts, Alex and John, use each other as tools to help manage their stress and cope with various life situations. During a conversation about the heat wave and excessive sweating, they discussed how fit athletes sweat more due to their increased need for evaporative cooling and the potential condition of hyperhidrosis. Alex also expressed his desire for more structure in their podcast episodes. His low was feeling overwhelmed by stress and the lack of productivity, while his high was feeling productive and efficient in his work. John's contribution was dealing with a slow Internet connection while working from home. Overall, the conversation touched on various topics, including fitness, health conditions, and productivity, while highlighting the importance of using each other as support systems to navigate life's challenges.

    • Comparing computer frustration to road rageDespite life's ups and downs, finding productive coping mechanisms can help manage stress.

Everyone experiences highs and lows in life, and it's essential to find coping mechanisms during stressful times. The speaker shares her struggles with a slow computer and the resulting frustration, which she compares to road rage. However, she also mentions the productivity gained from not playing video games and instead focusing on exercise. The speaker's high is the upcoming wedding she's attending and giving a toast at, which she's nervous about but excited for. The podcast topic is coping with stress, and the speakers discuss various methods such as aromatherapy and acupuncture, although they haven't found those to be particularly effective for them. The speakers acknowledge that everyone goes through challenging seasons in life and emphasize the importance of managing stress during those times.

    • Effects of stress on physical and emotional wellbeingStress affects health negatively, from mild symptoms to serious ones like chest pain, insomnia, depression, anxiety, and mood swings. Prioritize self-care and manage stress through mindfulness, meditation, sleep, and support.

Stress has numerous negative effects on both our physical and emotional wellbeing. These effects can range from mild symptoms like low energy, headaches, and upset stomach, to more serious ones like chest pain, insomnia, depression, anxiety, and mood swings. Chronic stress can even impact life expectancy. During stressful times, it's essential to prioritize self-care and find ways to manage stress effectively. This can include setting aside time for yourself each day, practicing mindfulness or meditation, getting enough sleep, and seeking support from loved ones or professionals when needed. Remember, taking care of yourself is not only important for your own wellbeing but also for the health of your relationships.

    • Manage time effectively to reduce stress and boost productivitySet timers for focused work, take scheduled breaks, prepare and organize, delegate tasks, and celebrate small wins to minimize stress and maximize productivity

Effective time management and minimizing distractions are key to reducing stress and increasing productivity. By setting a timer for focused work sessions and taking scheduled breaks, individuals can stay on task and avoid getting sidetracked by social media or other distractions. Preparation and organization, such as creating a schedule or checklist, can also help alleviate stress and make the workday more manageable. Additionally, delegating tasks and asking for help when needed can help lighten the load and prevent burnout. Remember, it's important to celebrate small wins and take time for self-care to maintain overall well-being.

    • Prioritize self-care for managing stressFind activities that improve physical and mental health, eliminate stressors, and seek professional help when needed.

Taking care of both physical and mental health is crucial for managing stress. This can include activities like working out, getting outside for vitamin D, and even getting a massage. It's essential to find what works best for you and prioritize self-care. Additionally, identifying and eliminating stressors in your life, such as toxic relationships or a demanding job, can make a significant difference. If stress becomes overwhelming, seeking professional help, like counseling or medication, is an option. Remember, taking care of yourself is not a luxury, but a necessity.

    • Taking care of body and mind reduces stressGet enough sleep, eat healthy, stay hydrated, engage in joyful activities, establish boundaries, find distractions, and avoid stressors to manage stress

Taking care of your body and mind can help manage stress. Getting enough sleep, eating healthy, staying hydrated, and engaging in activities that bring joy and relaxation are all effective ways to reduce stress. Establishing boundaries, such as setting aside time for relaxation and avoiding caffeine or other stimulants, can also make a significant difference. Laughing and finding distractions, like chewing gum or engaging in hobbies, can help take your mind off stressors and improve your overall mood. Remember, everyone is different, so it's essential to find what works best for you. Don't put off tasks that are adding to your stress, and consider trying new things to find what brings you joy and relaxation.

    • Tackling Small Responsibilities to Reduce StressAddressing small tasks and responsibilities can help reduce stress in the long run. Find what works best for managing stress and be prepared for unexpected events.

Addressing small responsibilities and problems can help reduce stress in the long run. This can include making your bed, cleaning your room, or addressing interpersonal issues. The importance of tackling these tasks head-on was emphasized, as putting them off can lead to unnecessary stress and anxiety. Additionally, it's important to find what works best for managing stress, whether that be through self-care, confronting problems, or practicing mindfulness. It's also crucial to remember that unexpected events will inevitably occur, so it's essential to be prepared and have tools in place to manage stress when it arises. Lastly, it's essential to not sweat the small stuff and maintain perspective, as we are all just small specks on a floating rock in the grand scheme of things.

    • Experiences Shape Us: Painful or Happy? We should embrace all experiences, good or bad, as they shape who we are and help us grow. Rather than dwelling on the past, focus on creating new memories and finding happiness.

Our experiences, whether painful or happy, shape who we are. During the discussion, the hosts considered whether they would rather remove their most painful memory or relive their happiest memory. While one preferred to erase the painful memory, the other wanted to relive the happy one. The former argued that doing so would allow them to forget any associated guilt or shame, while the latter saw it as an opportunity to relive a cherished moment. The conversation then shifted to the movie "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," which explores the idea of erasing memories. Ultimately, the hosts agreed that they would rather experience new memories and happiness rather than live in the past. This discussion highlights the importance of embracing our experiences, both good and bad, and using them to grow and move forward.

    • Effective Communication in RelationshipsBe clear and concise in communication, use simple language, write down concerns, repeat messages, and practice patience to ensure understanding in relationships.

Effective communication in relationships can be challenging when one partner doesn't seem to understand the other's perspective. The speaker in this discussion shared her frustration with her boyfriend's inability to acknowledge her feelings and resolve conflicts. The advice given was to try simplifying communication and being more direct. Writing down concerns or using simple language could help ensure that the message is received clearly. Additionally, repetition and patience might be necessary for the message to fully register. The overall suggestion was to avoid vague or passive-aggressive communication and instead, be clear and concise about what is needed or desired.

    • Understanding Trust Issues in RelationshipsTrust issues in relationships can be addressed through communication, understanding, and effort from both parties. Each situation is unique and requires individual consideration.

Trust is a fundamental aspect of any relationship. A breach of trust, such as snooping on a partner's phone, can be a serious issue. However, it's important to consider the context and underlying reasons behind the actions. Communication and understanding are key in addressing any insecurities or concerns. Ultimately, each situation is unique, and the decision to continue or end a relationship depends on the individuals involved and their willingness to work through issues together. Trust can be rebuilt, but it requires effort and commitment from both parties.

    • Making tough decisions and moving forwardMaking tough decisions may lead to the end of relationships, but it's important to move forward and not dwell on the past. Engage with the speakers on social media and their website for more insightful discussions.

During the podcast, it was mentioned that tough decisions may need to be made, leading to the end of certain relationships. The speakers encouraged listeners to move forward and not dwell on the past. They also invited questions and encouraged listeners to engage with them on social media and their website. The podcast, while lengthy, contained valuable information and was edited to remove filler words and improve the listening experience. If you enjoyed the podcast, it was requested that you leave a positive review. Despite the occasional distractions, the speakers covered various topics in depth during their two-hour conversation. Don't forget to tune in next week for more insightful discussions.

2015 When the Surprise Surpasses the Plan

2015 When the Surprise Surpasses the Plan

Strategic planning eases stress and can bring more happiness. Why? Because you have more direction. But when the surprise surpasses the plan, the heart and smiles ignite!

There is nothing better than a surprise. But unfortunately, we leave our everyday moments to a calendar.

Desire to be supported and encourage by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACThttp://bit.ly/WomenofIMPACT

We plan so many things in life.

    • Dinner
    • Dressing
    • Painting
    • Reading
    • Shopping
    • Dreaming

The plans can be so daunting that it suffocates flexibility and impairs creativity.

So my youngest and I are in Kansas working on the family property renovating two of the three homes.

We've had a great time. But what we planned has not worked out. What we thought could be done in a few days has led to over a week now.

Instead of complaining about what isn't working, embrace the surprise.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Embrace the surprise!

Some things happen for a reason. You don't always know why in the moment. But it becomes a blessing in disguise.

So how do you embrace the surprise? (especially when you are one who doesn't like surprises)

    1. Flexibility - Look for the beauty in the detours.
    2. Gratitude - Adopt an attitude of gratitude. Appreciate where you are now and where you are going along the journey.
    3. Patience - You want things your way. But when you have lemons, you gotta learn how to make lemonade.

Surprises are so much fun when it comes to birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. But in real life, anything disrupting the norm puts you on the defensive.

Don't gamble your days away by placing your bet only on the plan. Yes! Plan when you can, but when surprised, embrace the opportunity.

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"

    2950 Spin It Your Way!

    2950 Spin It Your Way!

Do failures and successes really define you as a person? Or is it the act of how you overcome? Don't let the cards you are dealt determine your direction. Spin it your way!

So how are you today? Are you in recovery mode from your Super Bowl party?

Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co

Oh, and did your team win?

Today, we will take a play out of the playbook and do a little Monday quarterbacking.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Spin it your way!

Now, you have many choices, rather you win or lose, fail or succeed.

But how you continue to move forward sets the tone for your journey!

You can choose to get stuck in your own patterns and habits, and make excuses for why you fell short and didn't make it to the finish line.

Or you can choose to do it differently without excuses, no matter the result.

    1. Play through the highs and lows. And in this, you are giving your best! You have to stay focused. You can't give up regardless of where you land. "When you take action, you make traction. Take A.I.M.!" ~ Kristianne Wargo
    2. Keep it fresh and be creative. You can play in the game of life however you want. You get to come up with innovative ideas. You get to play to your strengths, so you can tighten your weaknesses. Think outside the box. "Patterns only keep you anchored to what worked in the moment. A new moment requires new actions to anchor." ~ Kristianne Wargo
    3. Be teachable throughout life. You can't do what God designed you to do if you aren't willing to become who He created you to be. You have got to be teachable. You must be willing to learn more even when you're at your best.

Life isn't about proving who you are. What matters is whose you are. When you consider how to overcome your circumstances or challenges, you are leading your life well.

PRAYER: May your journey continue to be steps of greatness that lead you closer to God and what He has designed for your life.

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"

2997 How to Do What's Best for You

2997 How to Do What's Best for You
In the midst of challenges and busyness, your priorities and dreams can get lost. Don't lose sight of what matters. Buckle up,  and learn how to do what's best for you. Just as quickly as the weather changes, so do our days; the ups and downs of the roller coaster that you don't even have to stand in line for.  Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at https://createyournow.mn.co. https://createyournow.mn.co But the reality is that we are weighted down by the responsibilities of the world around us.  This past weekend was a little crazy for us. My husband is changing jobs and opening up his private business, which required moving and getting the whole family to chip in. We did it at the cost of me not showing up here for two days. But let me tell you, you were always on my mind. Of course, though, you know how this gets me thinking. We all fall into these unplanned actions that cause us to drop one thing for another. And then it because a spiral event of whether we will ever get back on track. You don't have to feel guilty for doing what's best for you. However, there can be a learning curve. Create the recipe that works FOR you! The K.I.S.S. ~ Create the recipe of what's best for you! This simply means how you can get back on track without losing sight of what matters in doing what's best for you. Step 1: Take inventory of the season of life you're in. Right now– What are your priorities, goals, and dreams? Are you happy with the direction your life is headed in? If not, what changes do you need to make to get back on track? It's important to be honest with yourself and acknowledge the things that are no longer serving you or bringing you happiness. You've gotta look at your schedule as to what is important in the present moment. Step 2: Make a plan Once you have a clear understanding of your priorities and goals, it's time to make a plan. What steps do you need to take to achieve your goals? What changes do you need to make in your life to align with your priorities? What do you need to give up, even for a brief moment? It's important to break down your goals into manageable steps so that you don't get overwhelmed and give up. Create a timeline and hold yourself accountable for following through on your plan. Step 3: Take action The final step towards doing what's best for you is to take action. This is often the hardest step because it requires us to step outside of our comfort zones and take risks. However, nothing changes if we don't take action. Start small and work your way up. Celebrate your wins along the way, and don't be too hard on yourself if you experience setbacks or obstacles. Remember, doing what's best for you is a journey, not a destination. And this can happen at any time. Use these skills to create your now; a strategy that will take you from overwhelmed to overcomer. PRAYER: May the hiccups of your every day not cloud your presence of today. What you do matters to God, to your family, to your friends, and to yourself. Life is not going to be easy, but it's always beautiful. Look to God, who gave you the sparks, and let it continue to ring loudly in your heart. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #MindsetMonday #CreateYourNow #PersonalDevelopment https://form.jotform.com/62988215824163  - This is a complimentary (FREE) coaching call with me. 2810 I Don't Think, I Know

    2810 I Don't Think, I Know

How do you speak to yourself when it comes to producing what you know needs to be done? Mute the question marks and convincingly whisper to yourself, "I don't think, I know."

How often do you find yourself leading with the phrase “I think”?

Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. http://bit.ly/WomenofIMPACT

In everyday conversation, “I think” because the leader of the pack when it comes to specifying what you believe.

However, let’s move this to your internal conversations, you speaking with yourself. When you are wondering what to do and trying to make a decision, after full analysis, the next phrase of decision starts with “I think”.

Do you “think” or do you “know”.

When you lead with a question mark, you lead with hesitation. Being reserved about your next step slows down your progress. It silences your momentum and produces more confusion.

It’s no wonder you get stuck and confused.

Saying I think is a diversion and has become a neutral position. Therefore, you don’t put yourself in a controversial stance or “know-it-all”. Who wants to be that jerk?

Stating it directly has the connotation of being stuck up or egotistical.

But this is in your mind and your thoughts.

You need to share your thoughts from a knowing position with yourself, not a position that makes you question your every move.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Think because you know!

In order to keep yourself moving forward and doing what you need to focus on, the internal conversation needs to be from a place of confrontation.

You are not trying to decide on a level playing field. The convincing can be reserved for outside conversations.

You are doing what is right for you in the moment during the season of life.

“Your thoughts need to sustain your belief within yourself.” ~ Kristianne Wargo

    Think because you know!

    1. CHANGE your lead statement. These are the words connecting your confidence to your actions. If you let questionable words complete your sentences, you never will have the courage to try what you already know about yourself. Take the guesswork out of whether you can do it, and lead because you know.
    2. MASTER your belief. You have to be the biggest believer in yourself. And not from an egotistical point of view. But like the carpenter who is the master of his trade and takes a jagged square piece of wood and makes it a smooth circle. You need to carve out your own belief within yourself. It doesn’t matter how many people believe in you. If you don’t believe in yourself, quitting gets easier. Master your belief.
    3. MIND your thoughts. Just as you need to have a lead statement, you also need to put a period on what matters. Express yourself with words that elevate hope, inspiration, and possibilities. Nothing is impossible. That doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy or happen quickly. But by bringing the realization that you can do it by streamlining your words to support your vision/mission, it solidifies your direction, and the momentum can continue.

    Think because you know!

CHALLENGE: Where do you need to alter your language? Your words need to match the outcome or results of your heart’s desire.

CAUTION: Otherwise, you will find yourself hunkered down in questions, and the answers will seem further from the facts.

CELEBRATE: Keep your eyes on the direction you're headed. Remember, you have what it takes, but you still have to do what it takes to get to where you want to go.

Keep your whispers inspiring and always searching for what’s possible.

"Master today to impact tomorrow!" ~ Kristianne Wargo

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"
