How to Manifest Anything You Want: 4 Simple Steps Backed by Neuroscience & Olympic Athletes

    enNovember 14, 2022

    Podcast Summary

    • Using Manifesting and Neuroscience to Achieve Your GoalsManifesting is a proven technique backed by science, and it involves rewiring our minds to focus on positive outcomes. With four simple steps, we can use manifesting to achieve our financial and personal goals.

In this podcast episode, Mel Robbins discusses how to use manifesting and neuroscience to rewire your mind and achieve what you want in life.Despite the confusion and myths surrounding manifesting, Robbins emphasizes that it is backed by science and can be a powerful tool when used correctly. She provides four simple steps for manifesting effectively, which can help with achieving financial and personal goals.Through discussing a listener's question about moving out of her hometown, Robbins shows how to overcome limiting beliefs and fears to take action towards achieving one's desires.Manifesting can work if done properly, and it involves rewiring our minds to manifest positively.

    • The Power of Manifesting: Training Your Brain to Achieve GoalsManifesting is not just about wishing for something to happen, it is about intentionally preparing yourself to do the work. By using science-backed tools, you can shut down negative conversations and achieve your goals.

Mel Robbins is teaching us about manifesting, which is a power tool that helps us achieve our goals by training our brains and nervous systems to believe in something that hasn't happened yet. It's not just wishing or wanting something to happen, it's intentionally preparing yourself to do the work. The only thing holding back Megan, who wants to do something but is struggling internally, is the conversation she's having with herself.By using science-backed manifesting tools, we can shut down the negative conversations holding us back and live a big life. So, what is something you've been thinking about but shutting down? Get honest with yourself and start manifesting!

    • Manifesting: A Science-Based Technique to Achieve Your DreamsManifesting is not just about wishing or hoping, but a technique to overcome mental obstacles and train your brain to take action. Be honest about what you want and use this science-based tool to boost your confidence and achieve your dreams.

Manifesting is not about wishing or hoping for something to happen, but it is a technique to reprogram your mind and remove mental obstacles that are holding you back.By training your brain intentionally, you can declare what you want and take action towards achieving your dreams. The first step in manifesting properly is to tell the truth and be honest about what you want.Don't let negative programming hold you back from pursuing your goals. It's a science-based tool that successful people around the world use to boost their confidence, clear mental obstacles, and take action towards achieving their dreams.

    • The Power of a Vision Board: Setting Achievable Goals for SuccessA vision board helps us achieve our goals by keeping them in sight. Include small, achievable steps on the board to stay motivated and build momentum towards your larger goals.

Creating a vision board can be a helpful tool for achieving goals by bringing them out of our minds and into reality. When we look at it daily, it signals to our brain that our goals are important. However, it's important to not just put big, distant goals on our vision board, like a beach house or million dollars. This can make the goals feel unattainable and demotivate us.Instead, we should include small, achievable steps that we can take towards our bigger goals. This way, we are taking action and building momentum towards what we want.

    • The Science Behind Successful ManifestationVisualization of the steps and actions needed to achieve a goal is crucial in manifesting. By mentally rehearsing these actions, the brain forms connections and habits that prepare the mind and body to take action, increasing the chances of success.

Manifesting isn't just about hoping and wishing for things to happen, it's about training your mind, body and spirit to make those things a reality.According to neuroscience, visualizing the steps and actions you need to take to reach your goal is a key part of manifesting.By mentally rehearsing these steps, you are stimulating the part of the brain that actually takes action, helping to make those actions a habit. This creates connections between gaps and neurons in your brain, preparing your mind and body to take action even before you start. So, if you want to achieve a goal, focus on visualizing the steps and actions you need to take, not just the end result.

    • Visualize and Embrace the Sensations of SuccessTo achieve your goals, visualize the desired outcome and focus on the details of the experience. Olympic athletes use this method to prepare mentally, and studies have found that the brain doesn't distinguish between real and imagined experiences.

To properly manifest your dreams, you need to not only visualize the end result, but also feel the sensations that come with working towards that goal. This means imagining every detail, from the smell in the air to the wind on your skin.Olympic athletes use this technique to prepare for competitions, and studies have shown that the brain doesn't differentiate between real experiences and imagined ones.By rehearsing the steps and sensations in your mind, you can better prepare yourself for the real work ahead.

    • Overcoming Fear to Achieve SuccessFear of failure and the unknown can prevent us from reaching our goals. By visualizing positive outcomes and rehearsing the steps needed for success, we can build confidence, embrace change, and unlock new opportunities. Let's manifest our dreams and win.

The fear of the unknown and potential failure can hold us back from taking action towards our goals.Visualizing negative outcomes can prevent us from moving forward.Instead, we can train our minds to focus on positive possibilities and envision success.By rehearsing and feeling the steps we need to take, even the challenging ones, we can build confidence and push past resistance.Embracing change and taking risks can lead to growth, new relationships, and unexpected opportunities. So, instead of manifesting our fears, let's manifest our dreams and see ourselves winning.

    • Visualization Techniques for Achieving SuccessBy rewiring our thoughts and visualizing ourselves achieving our goals, we can create a new path in our minds leading to success. Overcome self-doubt by recognizing you're a beginner and visualize the steps to reach your dreams.

Mel Robbins emphasizes the importance of visualization in achieving success.By decoding our fears and rewiring our thoughts, we can create a new track in our minds that shows us doing the work and making things happen.Olympic athletes and successful people in business use this technique to achieve their goals. However, it's common to experience self-doubt and fear, especially when pursuing a new venture.Instead of calling it imposter syndrome, recognize that you're a beginner and part of the process is figuring things out.Don't diminish the size of your dreams and start visualizing the steps to achieve them.

    • Visualize and Take Action Towards Your GoalsA key factor in achieving your goals is visualizing yourself taking action towards them. If you struggle with this, imagine someone you admire performing the task and visualize them inviting you to do it with them. Remember, success requires effort and manifestation alone is not enough.

If you want to achieve your goals, you need to visualize yourself taking action towards them.If you can't picture yourself doing the work, pick someone you admire and visualize them doing it.Then, imagine that person inviting you to join them in the work. Finally, remember that when you are manifesting your desires, you owe it to yourself and the universe to take action towards them.Success requires effort, and you can't just sit back and expect things to happen without putting in the work.

    • Manifesting According to Neuroscience: Overcoming Fears and Achieving Your DreamsVisualize your progress towards your goals, take consistent action, and train your brain to stay focused and persistent. Success takes dedication and patience.

To achieve your goals and dreams, you need to take action and put in the effort required.Manifesting according to neuroscience can help you overcome fears and childhood wiring that hold you back.Visualize yourself taking small steps each day towards your goal and then take those steps consistently.Don't give up just because it gets boring or tedious, success takes time and patience.Stay focused on the why and the how, not the when.Keep going even when it gets tough, and train your brain that you are the kind of person who keeps going.Success is not overnight, it takes years of hard work and dedication.

    • The Process of Working Towards Your Goals is Where the Real Satisfaction LiesSuccess doesn't happen overnight, it takes time and effort to achieve your dreams. Don't give up when obstacles and setbacks arise, and use visualization and hard work to make your dreams a reality.

Success takes time, effort, and patience. Don't expect big things to happen overnight. It may take 10 years or even longer to achieve your dreams and goals. However, the process of working towards something bigger than where you are currently at is where the real satisfaction lies.Visualize the obstacles and setbacks that may come your way, but keep going despite them. Don't give up.Manifesting according to neuroscience is a powerful tool, but it requires hard work and tedious tasks.Be willing to put in the work and effort, and eventually, you will make your dreams a reality.

    • The Neuroscience of Manifesting Your DreamsBy focusing on your dreams and desires and removing self-doubt, overwhelm, procrastination, and fear, you can train your brain to make them a reality. With this simple shift in mindset, you can pave the way towards creating the life you want.

Mel Robbins talks about the power of properly manifesting based on neuroscience. She explains that by training your mind to focus on your dreams and desires, you can trick your own brain into making them a reality.By removing self-doubt, overwhelm, procrastination, and fear, you can pave the way towards creating the life you want.Mel believes in you and wants to help you become an Olympian in your own life, and that's why she's here to support you.Start focusing on your dreams and desires and hardwire your mind for success.

Darin met up with fellow Starting Strength Coach and gifted Masters athlete Peter Nathan at the first annual StrengthCon event in Wichita Falls, TX. Peter is an accomplished athlete, having competed (and set records) in Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting and strengthlifting, Crossfit Games, triathlons, and more. Peter is also a strength coach, and attests to the importance of strength training for the Masters population - both athletes and people just trying to be healthy.

Peter talks about the progression of his athletic career, discovering Crossfit early on and balancing the performance demands of the program with the need to stay strong and injury free. Like many Games athletes, Peter trains primarily for strength until a few months out from competition, at which point he starts to work in conditioning. He's also learned an important lesson about his Crossfit experience - that giving 100% every workout can be detrimental to long-term progress. Consistency and not missing workouts, or screwing up workouts by overdoing previous workouts, are the keys progress.

    Winning with Shawn Johnson East

Gymnastics champion, Shawn Johnson is the consummate winner. By the age of 16 she won 4 Olympic Medals (1 Gold, 3 Silver) in Beijing. She's a bestselling author and winner of ABC's Dancing with the Stars in 2009. As if that wasn't enough she's an entrepreneur who started Teddy & Bear, a line of socks for kids. Shawn also hosts the podcast Couple Things with her husband, NFL-Pro Andrew East. Their daughter Drew Hazel was born in October of 2009.

Shawn covers a lot with Hilaria and Daphne. In the episode, Shawn credits her parents and her coach for giving her freedom and allowing her to have a childhood, while competing as a pro gymnast. You will hear about why discussing her miscarriage publicly helped her heal. She discusses what it was like when her husband had COVID and why she almost quit Dancing with the Stars.
