Danielle Sunberg - Your Professional Growth is Defined by Your Personal Development

When you let go of something, you create space for something new to show up.

Danielle Sunberg, a former Big Law attorney turned wellness entrepreneur and expert in the art of conscious living and award-winning author, shares about asking and answering the big question: Who am I?

Having been diagnosed with depression, Danielle realized that where she thought she was on top of everything, with plenty of zeros in her bank account and being on top of the corporate ladder, she wasn’t in tune with who she was herself.

Allowing yourself to be vulnerable causes a step into real leadership. Peeling the layers away allows for an acceptance of who you really are and allowing yourself to take up space.

Hitting burnout is not always a bad thing - as long as you use it as a chance to change everything!

Maximize Your Productivity: Unveiling the True Value of Virtual Assistants with Gina Cotner

Maximize Your Productivity: Unveiling the True Value of Virtual Assistants with Gina Cotner

If you are investing your money in hiring a virtual assistant, you really want them to be able to pay for themselves.

Gina Cotner, CEO of Athena Executive Services, began her business by becoming a virtual assistant herself. Encouraged by an employer to start up a business finding the right assistants for business owners and CEOs, Gina found herself hiring her own VA and realizing the freedom it brought.

Time zones and internet reliability are two considerations when hiring a VA outside the USA. Gina stresses that while you could ask a VA to do anything for you, it’s worth remembering that they are not experts in the same subject as you. Hiring a VA through an agency, such as Athena Executive Services, allows peace of mind that VAs have already been screened and vetted; an agency is likely to pair you well with the right VA.

Having the right person for your business will make a massive difference to your life, as you find you no longer have to deal with the minutia!

Evolving Beyond: Therapy’s Timeless Impact on Personal Growth with Dr. Bonnie Wims

Are you struggling with internal conflicts that hinder decision-making? Maybe it’s time to address these unresolved issues. After all, those who rise to their challenges are the ones who rise to new heights.

Dr. Bonnie Wims, therapist, and mental coach who got her doctorate in her 50s, is proof that it is never too late for personal growth. Her perspective is reflected in the belief that “unacknowledged pain doesn’t go away, it multiplies.” She advocates for continued self-work and acknowledges that she, too, continues to work on her setbacks. In her words: “The truth of who you are is not in what you are told or what you are taught, but rather the true nature of you is in what you choose.” Being vulnerable to see your behavior is hard, and we need support in that process. But we can do it!

Make a good choice and listen to this episode that will help you make the right steps towards therapy!

    Show notes:
💟 Dr. Bonnie Wims is a therapist and a mental health coach who got her Ph.D. in her 50s: we need a balance between emotional intelligence and business skills. 01:39
🎙️ Breaking therapy stigmas: Dr. Bonnie Wims talks about misconceptions, myths, and misunderstandings of it in her podcast, challenging the idea you only have to heal your trauma once! 07:54
👉 If you want to progress, you should also engage outside the sessions. 14:50
✅ Working with a therapist is a relationship, and you need to find someone who fits you: if you’ve had a bad experience, you may have just been with the wrong person. 19:36
🧠 You can’t understand the way you’re responding to trauma until someone helps you see that: we can heal, the brain is incredibly elastic and can change at any age. 25:41
🤗 Even Dr. Bonnie Wims works on her trauma and self-worth: Jennifer also openly works on herself during her retreats to inspire her clients. 31:45

Chichi Ukomadu’s Roadmap to Entrepreneurial Resilience and Success

Chichi Ukomadu’s Roadmap to Entrepreneurial Resilience and Success

Entrepreneurship is a journey often fraught with challenges, rejection, and isolation, yet brimming with opportunities for resilience, learning, and growth.

People will always find reasons to say, “You’re not competent enough,” but you can prove them wrong!

Resilience and perseverance take center stage as the conversation unfolds through Chichi Ukomadu’s story, the COO of the Heroshe logistic company, a coach for Christian women, and a podcaster.

Let’s delve into the isolating nature of entrepreneurship, spotlighting the weight of decision-making and the indispensable role of mentors or coaches in offering support and guidance.

The power of coaching emerges a transformative force, providing accountability, clarity, and an invaluable external perspective crucial for overcoming challenges. The conversation doesn’t shop at individual resilience but delves into the broader dynamics of team building, self-care amidst sacrifice, and embracing rejection as a redirection towards positive impact and profitability.

All that magic happens with hard work and dedication, but also support. Jennifer's coaching team helped her business grow.

Listen to this episode to hear about Chichi's path as an educated foreigner in the US and what it takes to build the team that can upscale your business.

    Show notes:

🇳🇬 Chichi migrated from Nigeria to the United States and established a multimillion-dollar e-commerce logistics company, aiding 66,000+ Africans to access global markets: the love to help people and shop with their money Chichi turned into a business. 02:14
😷 Heroshe faced COVID-19 challenges, dealing with excess work and staff storage due to government support: Chichi overcame this by innovative solutions despite employee reluctance to work. 06:22
📈 Jennifer’s team coached Chichi, leading to a seven-figure funding round this year: having a coach isn’t about incompetence but recognizing the need for diverse support to reach goals. 12:20
💪 Coach is a part of your team: having a coach makes you strong, not weak, because you realize that you need help and bring someone with a different perspective. 16:22
🔤 Chichi’s use of ABC time management helped her build the right team of people: when she caught COVID-19 infection, she decided to fire herself from the warehouse, and this year, she took a sabbatical year to build the coaching business. 21:51
❣️ You can make your team members care about your business if you care for them: Jennifer prioritizes building her team through Spartan Races and retreats. 26:00
📈 When you go together with the team, you go farther than by yourself: you can start as a one-man show, but the more you make room for people, the more growth you will see. 32:07
👩‍💼 Apart from her role as the COO of Heroshe, Chichi is now a Christian coach for women and a podcaster. 34:41
✅ Rejection is a redirection that leads to impact and profit: find help to get there. 39:17

The Power of Right Point of View; Pragmatic Psychology with Susana Mittermaier

If you find yourself in situations that seem to have no resolution, this is the podcast for you. Susanna is the founder of the new approach called Pragmatic Psychology. It focuses on solutions rather than problems. People stuck in the heaviness of their thoughts can't even hear and accept praise. But that can change. It's a point of view, not a reality.

Challenge your reality by knowing that your truth will always feel light.

    Notes:
✨ Susanna is the founder of a revolutionary new approach called Pragmatic Psychology: dramatic is where you focus on the problem and look for a solution, but pragmatic means doing what works. 01:42
❗ Most people want to be right rather than free and they underestimate the power we have when we take on a point of view: how to see there are other possibilities. 08:07
🌎 The world feeds us one drama after the other: if we foster ourselves as leaders and inspire others to be leaders, we will have a different world very soon. 15:54
🤔 If you want to be truly productive, check if the information you're receiving is valuable for you: what's congruent, what's true, and what makes us feel lighter when we feel down. 19:07
⏰ Whenever you listen to someone, and it creates a sense of contraction and heaviness, create an alarm to warn you: your truth will always feel lighter. 22:53

How Doing Everything In Your Business Can Do More Harm Than Good - with Kate De Palma

How Doing Everything In Your Business Can Do More Harm Than Good - with Kate De Palma

Lowering your productivity benchmark is essential for long-term success. Kate De Palma is the founder & CEO of Scented Designs Candle Co. and shares the time management insights she learned during her entrepreneurial journey. Entrepreneurs often end up trying to do everything themselves, which leads to a lack of focus and productivity in the long run. The key to keeping yourself focused on what is most important and maintaining that feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction is to create more manageable and realistic goals. Offload some tasks onto other people, stop checking your phone every 5 minutes, and take baby steps toward your high-priority goals. Start working on something valuable and stop filling your time with busy work!

    Notes:
🕯️ Kate is a Stanford graduate, a former educator, and the founder of Scented Designs, a clean-crafted Candle Company: company growth takes time and education, and sometimes it needs to be a side job until it develops. 01:42
🤝 Doing in-person markets pre-COVID enabled Kate to do collaborations and survive the pandemic. 05:58
👙 Kate loves finding collaborations in the most unexpected places: working with someone is not about competing but serving your customer at a higher level. 09:51
✅ You don't need a full-time employee because just one person a few hours a week can make a difference: there's real power in saying no and focusing your energy. 13:39
📋 If you can't make your priorities, hire a business manager and practice lowering the expectation bar a little bit. 17:08
👉 Don't play catch up - just realize where you are and take baby steps: when you're not so busy, things get in a natural order and pace. 20:27
