    en-gbMarch 25, 2024
What is the purpose of an 'I am' statement?
How can 'I am' statements boost self-confidence?
Who can benefit from using 'I am' statements?
What qualities should an 'I am' statement have?
How should one incorporate 'I am' statements daily?

    • Using 'I am' statements for self-confidenceRepeating positive affirmations about your desired identity can boost confidence and belief in yourself, even during challenges. Use 'I am' statements daily to remind yourself of your goals and abilities.

Using an "I am" statement is a powerful tool for training your brain to believe in yourself and achieve your goals. This practice involves repeating positive affirmations about the identity of the person you want to be, as if you already are that person. By saying these affirmations out loud every day, you can build confidence and belief in yourself, even when faced with challenges. This technique can be particularly effective for sales professionals or anyone looking to boost their self-confidence in a specific area. Remember, your "I am" statement needs to be positive, powerful, and present, making it a daily reminder of your goals and abilities. So, start your day with a strong "I am" statement and keep it with you throughout your day to help you stay focused and confident on your path to success.

1654 How to Get to the Finish Line

1654 How to Get to the Finish Line

When you want to reach your goal, you must learn how to get to the finish line. Because of course, quitting isn't an option.

You have a goal, a dream. Reaching those are always the focus.

Desire to be supported and encourage by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. http://facebook.com/groups/thewomenofimpact

So why are you so quick to throw in the towel when things get tough?

You were created with a burning purpose. Some days, it's easy to live them out. Other days, you want to quit.

If quitting is so attractive, let's look at why we do it.

Our minds and body are in search of what we know. Habits are a preferred way of life. When change is introduced, your mind begins to look for ways to escape the mission.

"Go to what you know," the mind echoes loudly.

But for most of us, the mind's motto doesn't serve our goals or dreams; our life.

How do you get to the finish line when everything is working against you?

    Play the tricks. Reverse psychology.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Play the tricks!

Wrap what is new in what is old.

    1. Stay the course. The worse thing you can do is quit. So don't do it!
    2. Adjust when needed. When you are in realtime, make adjustments. Change what doesn't work. Change what doesn't serve you.
    3. Take A.I.M. Action ignites motivation. Keeping going. You got this!

"One step at a time leads to miles of greatness!"

Episode 29: Being Free To Be Me with Karen Laos

Episode 29: Being Free To Be Me with Karen Laos

Have you ever felt like there’s something more ahead for you but the path to get there just isn’t clear? It’s a strange kind of stuckness when you have the sense that you are meant to do more and be more but you don’t yet know what ‘more’ might be.

Karen Laos felt like a racehorse behind the gates, all fired up and ready to go but the gates just weren’t open.  The more that things expanded around her, the more constricted she felt in the place where she worked. It took almost two years for her to find her ‘more’.

And then the global pandemic struck.

Covid-19. What a time to be free!

Karen shares how she found her way to freedom so that she could answer her calling and make an even bigger impact in the world. Having escaped the prison of self-doubt and the paralysing fear of judgement that held her there, she now wants to help ten million women to achieve the same freedom.  A communications expert by profession, Karen is on a mission to empower women to find their voice, overcome self doubt and speak with confidence.

    ABOUT MY GUEST: KAREN LAOS

Based in San Francisco, Karen Laos is a former corporate leader turned professional speaker specializing in communication. She is fiercely committed to equipping women in business to speak with clarity and stand out with unshakable confidence.

Over her 20+ year career, she has gained rave reviews from clients such as NASA, Facebook, Google, Netflix, Sephora, AT&T, Levi’s and United Healthcare.

She got her start in human resources at Gap Inc and then found her passion for corporate training at Decker Communications, where she led a team of facilitators and traveled the globe consulting professionals on their communication skills. After 14 years, she left Decker to pursue her entrepreneurial dream (and hasn’t looked back!).

Her mission is to eradicate self-doubt so women can stop holding back and start taking their seat at the table. One of the ways she does this is through her podcast: Ignite Your Confidence with Karen Laos.

Karen can be contacted via her website www.karenlaos.com and on a variety of Social Media/Audio platforms, including:

Episode 38: Looking back on "If Not Now, When?" with Karen Haller

Have you ever wanted to give up?  To throw in the towel?  To concede defeat?

Have you ever been so tired of trying to explain yourself and the change you want to make, that you just want to walk away and leave it to someone else?

There are always moments in leading change where giving up feels easier than going on. Moments where the resistance is real and you just want to say, I’m done.

In this week’s episode we look back at my conversation with Karen Haller, global expert in behavioural design and colour psychology.  As we look back at how Karen persisted for 8 years, against all advice to throw in the towel, we also learn how she turned around her absolute terror of speaking in public to become an international keynote speaker. There are seven powerful lessons we can learn from Karen’s story, to help us keep going too. If you’re ready to walk the road less travelled and build your resilience, hone your determination and deepen your commitment to your calling, take a listen now.
