In this episode of our "Battle for Truth" series, Jeff talks to Mike Fegelman, Executive Director of Honest Reporting Canada to discuss how the media is reporting the war in Israel. Mike Fegelman is an 18-year veteran of the Canadian journalism industry and Executive Director of HonestReporting Canada (HRC). He has testified before parliamentary committees and has given testimony to the Standing Senate Committee for Transport and Communications to express HRC’s concerns about the CBC’s reporting of Israel and the Middle East. Mike’s opinions and views are widely sought out for by Canada’s media and political elite. His work has been published in the Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, National Post, Le Devoir, Montreal Gazette, Ottawa Citizen and many more.

In this episode of our BATTLE FOR TRUTH podcast series, Jeff talks to Itamar Marcus, Founder and Director of Palestinian Media Watch, one of the foremost authorities on Palestinian ideology and policy. Marcus was appointed by the Israeli government to represent Israel in negotiations on incitement with the Palestinian Authority in 1999. He makes regular presentations to legislators, governments, and other decision-makers about PA leaders, education, sports, etc. His book Deception was acclaimed by the founder of Human Rights Watch, Robert Bernstein, as "one of the most important books you handle in your lives.”

Itamar has been seeing the events of October 7th coming for quite some time because of his exposure to Palestinian media and propaganda. Even small children under the Palestinian Authority are indoctrinated to hate Israel and the Jewish people, and be willing to sacrifice their lives to kill them. There is no hope for peace unless people truly care enough for the Palestinian people to do something about this.

As a grandchild of Holocaust survivors from Germany, she has spent most of her career advocating for other people, in Thailand, Ukraine, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. She recently joined the Jerusalem Institute of Justice, where she has joined her own people in an existential struggle for survival.
JIJ is an Israeli human rights organization based in Jerusalem. For 20 years, JIJ has fought for the rights and well-being of vulnerable people in Israel and the Middle East.

Within Israel, JIJ provides free legal aid to survivors of human trafficking, Israeli civilians who have been internally displaced since October 7th, and new immigrants arriving from around the globe.
