Jean'e Didier on Student Council and friends at DHS

Barbara and Fred Harris moved to Deerfield in 1958. For Fred it was a homecoming; for Barbara, it was the start of a rich life of involvement in the town and the high school. From football to their three children (all DHS alumni) to the 50th anniversary, Mrs. Harris recalls a 50 year relationship with DHS.

David Marks worked for the architecture firm Loebl, Schlossman and Bennett, which designed the high school. David and Lois were dating at the time of the school's dedication. Listen to the story of their date to that event. It's been 50 years, and the Marks' not only moved to Deerfield, but their three daughters and now one grandchild have gone to DHS--and there are two more on the way! Motzko was a student at DHS before working here as a science teacher. His interviewers met him with photocopies from OYAD and Deerprints and asked him about his involvement in school clubs and sports.

Mrs. Didier serves as secretary to the English and Social Studies Departments as well as to Student Council. As a recipient of some of the proceeds of one School Chest, she feels especially blessed to be part of the DHS community.
