Amanda Beggs is an award winning sound mixer who’s breaking stereotypes as a women in cinema audio and a woman in STEM / STEAM! She’s worked in the sound department on Star Trek, Star Wars, Star Tours at Disneyland and WDW. Amanda’s sound department credits include Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Trek Beyond & Into Darkness, Grey’s Anatomy and a ton of other projects. On top of that, she was just #Emmynominated! 

We caught up with Amanda Beggs at the Cinema Audio Society Awards (CAS Awards) just last year. Amanda discusses the autonomy and creative aspects that come together to keep this Trekkie pushing the envelope (no sound-pun intended) and on top of her game. Her passion, hard work and skill clearly make her an aspirational woman who excels way back behind the lens as an Emmy nominated and award winning sound mixer! 

Lastly, as a graduate from The Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, Amanda is yet another reminder that you don’t have to go to film school in Los Angeles to be successful in the entertainment industry!

Audrey Whitby is gold & the Audrey Whitby - Joey Bragg relationship is a Young Hollywood Mini Power Couple of Comedy! You know her as Cherry on The Thundermans. I first saw Audrey Whitby on So Random! (Sonny With a Chance semi-spin-off) was my first time seeing her on TV! 

Audrey is so…incredibly…talented! Her sense of timing and acting chops are so on-point! It’s incredible to see her at work with Joey Bragg on Betch (which also has a few other Liv and Maddie faces). Just after we filmed the intro, we got word back from American High at her upcoming movie, Sid Is Dead, with Joey Bragg (Liv and Maddie), G Hannelius (Dog with a Blog and Sonny with a Chance), Mary Stuart Masterson, and even Jack Griffo (The Thundermans) is in post production! 

So, as we were packing up at the end of last year’s Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2019 orange carpet, there was Audrey! I couldn’t have been happier to see her! It had been so long since our last run-in back in 2014 at Allisyn Snyder (Allisyn Ashley Arm’s) Art show in 2014 and before that at the Lone Ranger Premiere in Disney’s California Adventure back in 2013!

The Disney Princess Tiana | Splash Mountain Takeover is happening! We’ll talk Tiana & revisit a Princess and the Frog Mama Odie Interview with Jenifer Lewis, Flo from Cars. Maulik Pancholy! Our Baljeet Phineas and Ferb interview is up! Face actor & Baljeet voice actor Maulik Pancholy is Buford, Phineas and Ferb’s top nerd. We met Maulik & huge Disney Composer Danny Jacob at the Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension premiere. Since we’ve learned that Phineas and Ferb: Candace Against the Universe won’t be arriving until the end of August (think of it like the 104th day of summer vacation) we have even more unseen interviews and behind the seen Phineas and Ferb fun to share with you!

So you might recognize Maulik Pancholy from a few other shows too… 30 Rock The Good Fight Elementary The Good Life The Comeback The Sopranos Dynasty and more. Yeah…there are some kinda huge-major shows there but to Piper…at 11 (OK and now) his role as Baljeet on Phineas and Ferb is what landed Maulik in PIper’s personal Hall of Fame!

Now if we only knew the extent of Danny Jacob’s influence on Disney Channel music back at the time! Danny composed the score for Phineas and Ferb of course! He even sings some of the songs. BUT… Danny Jacob also co-produced the music on Sofia the First and wrote the theme songs for Lilo & Stitch: The Series The Emperor's New School Kim Possible and Sonny With A Chance (one of my all-time-favorite Disney Channel shows).
