    Kangazang! is an out of this world sci-fi comedy written by Welsh author Terry Cooper. Earthling Jeff Spooner accepts an offer to explore the galaxy with his barber, Ray Scump. After her wartime service in the WAAF, she had a successful career in hotel management and catering, taking on the male establishment of the industry. At the age of 87, she graduated from the Open University as one of its Students of the Year. Eileen lives in Wales, where she remains an active campaigner on health and education issues.     Douglas Adams (1952 – 2001) is best known as the author of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which started life in 1978 as a BBC radio comedy before developing into a "trilogy" of five books that sold over 15 million copies in his lifetime, a television series, several stage plays, comics, a computer game, and in 2005 a feature film. Adams also wrote Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (1987) and The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul (1988), and co-wrote The Meaning of Liff (1983), Last Chance to See (1990), and three stories for the television series Doctor Who. Author Terry Cooper talks about the huge impact Adams had on his career and how he was inspired to write the comedy Kangazang! as a tribute to the late, great writer.
