    About this Episode

With new Influencers and Content Creators popping up on social media daily, it can sometimes feel overwhelming to know who to follow for the kind of content you want. So many of new and old accounts are just trying to get a paycheque out of their posts and are lacking that relatability and authenticity most of us crave; enter 'The Chic Confidential' (TCC). We are chatting with one of our FAVE Influencers and we chose that term intentionally because we have truly been influenced by Kimberley Marquis many times, she is the creator of the wildly popular insta' account @thechicconfidential. Kimberley shares how becoming a content creator kind of happened by accident and actually started through scrapbooking, which led to a blog which ultimately led to Instagram. We talk about the importance of authenticity, relatability, working with the right brands and why you probably wont find success if you are just doing it for some quick cash (insider info: content creation rarely brings quick cash). We were drawn to TCC and Kim because of how she keeps her content relatable, friendly and authentic, her page is a fun and safe space for all women. Kim tells us why she thinks it is important to manage her own page and to always respond to every DM (trolling excluded), she believes in creating great content but also in community. Lauren and Jess give a quick recap of their long awaited reunion, #freebritney talk is back and Lauren shares some firsts for her!

It all starts in the womb feat. Tracy LeFleur

It all starts in the womb feat. Tracy LeFleur

We are joined by the amazing Life and Embodiment Coach, Tracy LeFleur, she educates us on the practice of "Womb Healing," (abdominal massage for men) and why it is hugely beneficial in helping to relieve issues like feelings of separation, anxiety, indecisiveness and inability to set boundaries. When the womb is out of centre and does not receive enough blood flow it can lead to  all kinds of physical and emotional blocks. Tracy explains that because the womb is an organ it's tissues hold memories both bad and good, womb healing is commonly used to help relieve traumas, some of which may be passed down from your mother and even ancestors! This conversation was incredibly interesting and enlightening and we can't wait to have our virtual session with Tracy. Before Tracy joins us we chat about our first "normal" Easter in 2 years, Jess's weekend celebration, where we are in our microdosing journey and what Lauren's 95-year old Grannie with severe memory loss said this weekend that blew her away.

The one about Jess's big news and a bunch of other stuff

The one about Jess's big news and a bunch of other stuff

It’s just us this week, but we pack a ton into todays ep.
First things first, Jess drops some MAJOR life news!
We of course had to unpack and share our thoughts on last weeks Oscar’s moment and give our 2 cents on the Hollyweird machine that just keeps getting weirder. Like, why do celebrities get to make up words for their behaviours while us peasants just have to use regular old words? Is Britney just all of us on instagram? Does Kim K just keep digging herself deeper into a tone deaf hole?
We take a trip down embarrassing email address lane and how humans really can't handle the internet. Enjoy!
