I had the opportunity to interview Gary Kupfer, a talented and experienced artist who specializes in pinstriping, airbrushing, and lettering. Gary is the owner and artist of www.localbrush.com a full service custom specialty art and sign business based in North Bellmore, New York. He is also the founder of pinstripingregistry.com, a website that connects customers with pinstripers, airbrush artists, and lettering professionals across the United States.Gary has been in the art and sign industry for over 60 years, starting as a teenager when he learned how to pinstripe from his father, who was a car painter. He later expanded his skills to airbrushing and lettering, creating stunning artworks on various surfaces such as motorcycles, cars, trucks, boats, helmets, guitars, walls, and more. He has been featured on the cover of numerous magazines and has won many awards for his work. Gary shared with me his passion for art and how he enjoys creating unique and personalized designs for his clients.
