    About this Episode

"What It's Really Like to Be an Entrepreneur" has been rebranded  to "That Entrepreneur Show" https://www.VincentALanci.com/. Whether you are looking to start or scale your business, this is the show for you.

Vincent A. Lanci interviews the founder of a different company from around the world on each episode. He records interviews with entrepreneurs in all industries to provide many different perspectives. You never know which motivational journey will motivate you most.

For the 123rd episode of the series and the 12th episode of Season 8 , Vincent A. Lanci interviews Kristin Currey. Meet Kristin, CEO and Founder of DraftCard - LinkedIn for Youth Sports!

Prior to DraftCard I had 15 years of eDiscovery, Cybersecurity and Information Technology sales and management.

In my career, I have supported numerous eDiscovery-centric matters as a consultant as well as a Vice President of Sales working with both sales and operations teams, assisting corporate in house counsel as well as law firms. I have extensive experience in advising clients of technology in matters ranging from SEC Investigations, Department of Justice (Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvement Act) investigations to complex Intellectual Property litigation. I am involved in various industry organizations and continued learning education programs as well as philanthropic organizations and was a full ride scholarship swimmer at Arizona State University.

DraftCard is a sharable verified digital resume that allows athletes to create their brand and stand out in a crowd. DraftCard has an interactive profile/resume built with patent pending AR/VR/AI technology.

DraftCard is the first "get verified" solution through our partnerships with NCSA , the worlds largest athletic recruiting network and InjureFree an accident injury management platform. Our technology allows another level of crowdsource verification that changes the way fans, coaches and athletes share their sports experiences on and off the field. The data, stats, accomplishments, videos, photos and GPA are all located in one location and able to be shared on any social media platform, text or email. Coaches and recruiters can find the athletes verified data that they are looking for all in one location place to increase efficiency. Zillow is to homes what DraftCard is to athletes.

#346: Veteran, TEDx Speaker, & Growing Art Internationally with Jason Mathias

I haven’t been everywhere yet, but it’s on my to-do list. I have visited a fair bit of the world, though, witnessing it all with the skepticism of a native New Yorker. My first years in the military reshaped me. The New Yorker in me got pummeled. I learned. Traveled. Relearned. That became my habit. When complacency sets in, I know it’s time to move again. Along the way, I learned first the camera, and later the pen. Today I carry both and they war with each other for my attention.

While stationed at Eielson Air Force Base, I faced skepticism about my solo backcountry hiking in Alaska. “No picture, no proof.” Photography solved that problem. Since then, that knack for documentation has bloomed, wintered, and bloomed again. I now define my photography as having two distinct themes: Comfortable Isolation and the Aria. I have been mastering skills but also crafting my art as a cameraman into a vision that is personal and wholly my own.

Welcome back to That Entrepreneur Show! If you enjoy the show, please subscribe for weekly episodes and rate the show 5 stars to help others also join our conversations!

Areas of discussion with Jason include:

    • Teaching Other Artists How to Sell Art
    • Finding Your Life Purpose in Helping Others
    • Overcoming Imposter Syndrome
    • How the Military Formed Him to Excel at Teaching Skills
    • Celebrating Small Wins
    • Advice on Exiting a Company

Meet our Guest: Change is the one thing we can always count on  (whether we like it or not). All of us, at one time or another, experience change. It is an ongoing process; life itself is a continuous transformation. The last few years are living proof. In addition to being a coach, I am also a potter. The process of making pottery is such a great illustration of transformation. A ball of clay becomes a work of art!

I’ve come to believe that personal and business growth comes from the willingness to do things differently while being open to all possibilities in the transformation process. More often than not, when we think life couldn’t get any better or any more uncomfortable, something brings us to the next level of our growth, just like the strengthening of the clay in the fire. Afterward, we realize it all had to unfold exactly how it did to live our most authentic lives. Many of us have to reinvent ourselves in many areas, and I can help you get to where you need to be.

#343: How to Become a Better Leader with Melahni Ake

My greatest strength is to add value to others by challenging people to connect to their purpose through creating programs that inspire them to explore, develop and share their passions. We all have the potential to help each other realize and live our dreams that inspire positive change in the world.

I was born a servant leader who has developed strong beliefs from my leadership mentors, including Dr. John Maxwell, Walt Disney, Simon Sinek, and my grandparents. I am an inspirational speaker, 5 X Best Selling author, podcast host, and a UINDY Alumni, and hold a bachelor's and associate's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, and Psychology.  My company Everyday Leaders, was inspired through her certification into the John Maxwell Team as a speaker, coach, and trainer.

I quickly developed a vision for starting Everyday Leaders 50in50 podcast to celebrate every day leaders who are making a bigger impact in the world. Through this process, I have interviewed hundreds of thought leaders from around the world, teaching principles to help others overcome everyday obstacles.

My company Everyday Leaders, contracts with and serves sales professionals, entrepreneurs, corporations and nonprofit community programs who want to strategically improve their own leadership potential and create significance in the world.  I passionately lead a morning leadership devotional every day at 7:30 am that started Oct 1, 2019.
