Livelihoods and Jobs Through Scaling EbA
The health and abundance of coastal ecosystems underpins livelihoods for many coastal communities in SADC. In addition, low levels of socio-economic development, combined with limited livelihood opportunities, drive vulnerability among coastal communities in the region.
In this episode Penelope Price, discusses her research paper, which explains how marine and coastal EbA can help to upscale jobs and livelihoods of vulnerable communities in the region.
This podcast series is hosted by the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA), funded by the European Union under the Global Climate Change Alliance Plus Programme (GCCA+), overseen by the SADC Secretariat. It forms part of a project that aims to strengthen the uptake of marine and coastal EbA in the national climate responses of SADC’s coastal states.
