    Fakes, Imposters & Backstabbers

    Fakes, Imposters & Backstabbers

We live in a harsh world, filled with both loyal and fake friendships. And unfortunately, it's not always easy to differ one from the other unless you've experienced it. And whether dishonest friends have ruined your lives or not, forgiving and forgetting may not be as easy as it sounds, but it definitely is one method we can all apply so we don’t live a life of guilt. In today’s episode, the slackers discuss their experiences with fake friends and how it taught them valuable life lessons, and the sad reality of toxic friendships. For Thomas, who loved to mingle around with several groups of friends, it wasn’t clear to him who his real ones were against the fakes until he gets thrown under the bus by someone who he used to consider a "brother”. Meanwhile, Ron and Earl bicker between each other about who the fake one is between them; with Ron expressing his way of life, avoiding certain friendships once he spots red flags, while Earl expresses his distaste with changes among his friends. So fasten your seatbelt for an eye-opening relatable episode, because EVERYONE has either experienced or currently have two-faced people around them, and it's always helpful to spot them before any damage is done. "Real eyes realize real lies".

    The Art Of Sucking Up

    The Art Of Sucking Up

Sucking up, arse-licking, boot-kisser, it comes in many different names. But does sucking up to someone for personal gain generally make you look like a bad person? From sucking up to teachers in school, to people in the professional world, it's naturally been the unconscious way people behave towards others that have something beneficial to offer. However, it can equally backfire, causing certain consequences... In today’s episode, the slackers share their ambitious experiences sucking up to people in hopes to gain something from them, from clout and social gain, to emotional crushes and more. Being a part of a minority, Thomas talks about how he sucked up to someone just to fit in, and experience the feeling of being with the “popular guys”. Meanwhile, Ron believes that the act of sucking up to another is normally done unconsciously, with people doing their best to settle a positive image of themselves at school, which gets carried forward in the professional world. But simping on the other hand? That's a completely different story that he himself shares an experience on, going as far as having Thomas as a wingman to assist him on his puppy love quests. On the other hand, being the introvert that Earl is, he shares his controversial mindset that every extrovert that socializes generally sucks up to people and how being friendly around people is just an act for personal gain and opportunities.

Some might say sucking up to someone is natural, while some may say otherwise. So stop WHATEVER it is you're doing, and have a listen to this episode to see if we manage to change your perspective on the idea of sucking up. Who knows, you too may be doing it unconsciously.
