Picking up the Bible can be intimidating with a capital "I". Yet, reading Scripture livens the heart, makes our burden light, and leads us to a deeper understanding of God. Cayna shares her experience on how Scripture speaks to her, and how God has allowed her into His heart through praying with the Bible. 

Our Hearts are Restless Until they rest in Thee, O Lord.

You've had a difficult day at work, school is overwhelming, or there is simply too many things on your plate. What does one do then? We reach for the bag of chips, a comfort movie, or scroll on our phones seeking rest that we will never find within these things. The truth is, there is always time for rest, and TRUE rest at that, but only when we are docile and receptive enough to notice. When we allow our hearts to be encompassed and embraced by the arms of the Father, that is when we will find the safety and comfort that we seek.

How can we know that we truly love God? How do we reconcile our actions with our desire to love the Lord? 

Emma shares her story of learning how to unite herself to the sacrifice of Christ, and how a desire for God is enough for Him to give you strength to complete His will for us. In recognition of love, and the tangible reality of His love for us, we are offered the encounter of a lifetime with Christ. 

Wearing our white dresses, hair is done, make up is on...all in anticipating Christ at the end of the aisle. Elizabeth and Eve discuss stepping into femininity as a vocation with the understanding of Jesus as our bridegroom. He is the one to be loved with all due affection, and the one we sacrifice each day for. 

Sophia shares her story about falling deeply in love with the Lord and knowing His intimate care for each of us. A feeling of God pursuing and encapsulating us in love. Through times of insecurity and loneliness, she relied on God to get her through, consoling her in the Mass and Adoration. Her beautiful testimony gives way to the story of love written within each of our hearts. 

When you're the only Catholic in the room, how can you stay strong in your belief and be evidence of God's love? Abby shares how she displayed the joy and love of God growing up at a public school with others who blatantly disagreed with her, and how to stay strong in your belief through discussion and forming your heart and mind. 

Eve shares her story of being Miss Wisconsin's Teen and competing at Miss America's Teen. Talking through what it's like competing, what God taught her through the experience, and if being Catholic and Miss America can coincide. We explore the connection of Miss America while competing in a "beauty pageant", and discuss common thought of what the Miss America Organization is all about. 

This time of year, fresh off of the "Seek" conference, or rejuvenated with goals for 2024, we can easily get lost in our own ideals. Have we asked God what He wants of us? Lydia firmly believes, and gracefully implements retreats and rejuvenation into her daily life, knowing that a retreat doesn't end the moment you walk out of the doors--prayer and lessons must be lived. Join us in discussing how to stick with our daily discipline while remembering God's mercy and care for us!

It's just not that deep! Our head and our heart seem to contradict, but in God's beautiful curation of us as body and soul composites, they are intended to work together. Shelby comes back on the podcast (because we have so much fun, but also because she is SO wise) to talk about how feelings and healing within are an integral part of faith and not meant to be neglected.
