Oftentimes we read something in the Bible, something that is true and good. And we should ask ourselves, does that describe me? Can I say that about myself sincerely. And we see an individual, this author of this beautiful psalm, he writes these things, and we should strive to live it away, to make these words true for our lives, as well. Our subject is going to be the origins of anti semitism. And since October 7, we've seen all over the world, anti semitism arise, as never before. And we need to understand that anti semitism is just not among those that are not believers, even within the church, and the church has a history, that is not one that we can be proud of. Our God is a God who is the only Creator of all things. And we're going to see in the passage that we're going to study to see BNI. In this passage from the book of Proverbs and chapter three, we see how it reminds us of the fact that God has created all things. Now there's going to be an emphasis upon this world, both the heavens and the earth. And notice what the scripture says. We read in verse 19, Proverbs chapter three, and verse 19. Welcome to our study of Hebrew numerology. Now, I make mention of Hebrew numerology. But I could have said just as well, biblical numerology. The reason why I stress Hebrew numerology is because Judaism tends to put a greater emphasis on the numbers that appear in the Bible, more than what we find in Christianity. In Judaism, there is an expression called the dope toe vote, which means good personal characteristic traits. And that's what each of us are called to demonstrate. And those good personal characteristic traits are the traits that God Himself has. We are called to be like him to be imitators of the living God. And when we do that we are truly demonstrating faithfulness. The author of Psalm 119, was a very faithful man. And his faithfulness is displayed for us in this psalm, by his commitment and obedience to the Word of God, this one love the instructions of God, the law of God, the statutes of God, and the commandments of God. But we see something, we see a very important principle, developing out of this psalm, and that is this. There is a consistency with God. Meaning God never changes. Why does he change because he is perfect in every way. And that which is perfect endures. Not only is there a consistency with God, but there is a permanency with God. God is forever. We all know the verse of scripture from Hebrews, where it says concerning your show, that he is the same yesterday, today and forever. Recently, I was talking to a group of believers. And I asked them this question, what word would you use to describe our Lord and Savior, Messiah? Sure, that is Jesus Christ. And the word that I received was mild, that he was a mild man. And when I look at the passage that we're going to be studying today, I would not use the word mild to describe him. If you want to grow spiritually, and be a mature believer, then you have to have discernment. What does that mean? You must have the perspective of God. And that does not happen naturally. It is the outcome of the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer, if we're going to be pleasing to God, if we're going to demonstrate wisdom, and do the things that are related to the purposes of God, we need to have discernment, we need to have God's perspective.
