    Für den schrittweisen Ausstieg aus dem Lockdown fordern Wissenschaftler und Politiker unter anderem das Tragen von Masken in der Öffentlichkeit, zumindest in speziellen Situationen, etwa in Bussen und Bahnen. Wie wirksam aber wäre der Schutz vor SARS-CoV-2, würden alle Bürger Masken tragen? Ließe sich die Pandemie damit bezwingen? Oder wiegen wir uns mit ihnen vielleicht nur in trügerischer Sicherheit? Die Forschung hat sich des Themas schon vor Jahren angenommen und ist auch jetzt angesichts der Coronavirus-Pandemie aktiv. Gesucht wird nach dem Beweis, welche Masken was nützen.
