Meet the Scaries

If you haven't seen the first film in this self-aware horror franchise, do yourself a favor and check it out (then come back and listen)! A busy winter and omicron delayed the release of several episodes, but we're back to finish The Shining! Join us as David fanboys over Stephen King and Jacklyn unveils the true danger of the Overlook Hotel (it's a pyramid scheme).

Prepare yourself for some outdated updates because this was one of the first episodes we recorded! We try to examine the novel on its own, but Kubrick's adaptation is hard to forget. Will we be able to separate the two? As usual... kinda.

Jacklyn and Dave break down "Halloween: The Old Myers Place" by Kelly O'Rourke, the 1997 young adult novel featuring Michael Myers as he carves his way through a new group of Handdonfield teenagers.

Jacklyn & Dave survived a trip a trip to a real movie theater to see the second film in the new Halloween trilogy.  Dave took issue with some of the "characters'" speeches and Jacklyn hoped someone other than Michael would get stabby; did she get her wish? Also, what the hell are Michael's Horcruxes? 

Michael is back to his old tricks with a new skill level. Haddonfield is getting a beating. Jacklyn and Dave are having a blast watching it all go down.
