    About this Episode

    Physical wellness isn't everything. šŸ™…šŸ¼šŸ™…šŸ¼ā
    ā
In fact. I would argue that if you don't have your mental wellness as your #1 priority, your physical wellness will decline because of it.ā
    ā
And there's more coming. Politics, fires, and YOU NAME IT. There's a lot of stuff going on.šŸ˜°ā
    ā
But we need to focus on the positives of this situation!!ā
    ā
This episode is such a timely message right now because I heard a few statistics the other day that FLOORED ME.ā
    ā
There was a study recently conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation that found the following:ā
    ā
āœ–ļø45% of Americans are being impacted by mental wellness issues.ā
    āœ–ļø39% increase in anti-anxiety medications.ā
    āœ–ļø19% increase in anti-depressantsā
    ā
I believe there is another phase of the pandemic - and that is the effect this pandemic will have on our long-term mental health.ā
    ā
This episode tackles a SOLUTION to the problem!!ā

The Challenges of Being an Entrepreneur During COVID-19

There are so many challenges during this time of a pandemic, social unrest and the upcoming election.

In this episode, I get real with you on the challenges that I have personally faced during these tough times being an entrepreneur.Ā

Being a solopreneur brings about the challenge of staying motivated and upbeat. Surrounding yourself with your tribe is so valuable and important anytime but especially right now.Ā

    My TOP challenges have been...

    - Overcoming the shame. At the beginning of all of this there were people who felt the need to shame anyone who was trying to grow their biz. The challenge to know that your message and vision is important and needed.Ā

    - Pivoting my business 100 percent online by creating new programs for fitness, nutrition and mindset.Ā

    - Breaking through the noise of all the chaos going on in the world today.Ā

    - Staying FOCUSED on my goals and not allowing myself to get sucked into the social media drama.Ā

    - Staying true to myself and my purpose through all of the madness happening in the world.Ā

Being the very best version of you means that you have to take care of YOU.Ā

Especially right now as everything appears to be ramping back up again.
    ā
There are so many unknowns and so much fear from every corner - but the light at the end of the tunnel?!ā
    ā
Ā It starts with YOU. It starts with me.ā
    ā
What we choose to pour into.ā
    What we choose to digest.ā
    What actions we take.ā
    What words we speak.ā
    ā
And what we do FOR ourselves directly impacts those around us!!ā

    013: The Truth About Sleep

    013: The Truth About Sleep

    Here's the truth about sleep.

Today I'm talking about the how your gut health affects your sleep health.

Did you know there is a direct link between stress and sleep?Ā

Stress increases cortisol and lowers serotonin and in turn, that means a lack of melatonin.Ā

Lack of sleep prevents you from being able to lose weight, increases stress and anxiety, and causes that imbalance in hormones that makes everything go out of whack.

Sleep is your right! It's time to reclaim it.
