In today's episode of Miracle Flights, I explain how an Instrument Landing System can be related to the way the ego precisely guides us through life to a landing that ends in death of the body. And, on the flip side, how the Holy Spirit's Instrument Landing System precisely guides us to a landing that results in a true life with God. This analogy and key takeaways were inspired from last week's two readings within the Text: The Third Obstacle: The Attraction of Death (T-19.IV.C) and The Incorruptible Body (T-19.IV.C.i).

As we continue move forward with our Miracle Flight studies, please read and study the last two readings from the Obstacles to Peace: The Fourth Obstacle: The Fear of God (T-19.IV.D) and The Lifting of the Veil (T-19.IV.D.i). I will discuss these readings in the next episode of Miracle Flights.

"Truly Helpful Prayer"Teaching Session 3Here's a recap of our third teaching session, led by Rev. Deb, which focused on the third line in the Truly Helpful Prayer, "I do not have to worry about what to say or what to do, because He Who sent me will direct me."

Session Highlights:

Meditation with Rev. Deb Phelps: We began with our gentle meditation for this series, "I am here." This week Rev. Deb included ambient nature sounds and chimes with the meditation. We are simply present in the here and now as we connect with the Holy Spirit.
Discussion on the "Truly Helpful" Prayer: Rev. Deb recapped what we have studied so far including highlighting the previous week's readings. Rev. Deb and Rev. Paul shared personal reflections and stories highlighting the transformative power of trusting in the Holy Spirit's Guidance.
Exploring the Prayer's Third Line: The focus was on understanding and embodying the third line of the prayer. This includes basic key principles in receiving Holy Spirit's Voice: Willingness, Forgiveness, Quieting the Mind, Asking for Guidance, Patience and Practice as just a few.
Reflection and Journaling Exercise: We delved into the third line of the prayer, engaging in a reflective exercise designed to deepen our understanding and personal connection to its message.
Reading Assignment: To prepare for our next session, we encourage you to read The Song of Prayer, 2. Forgiveness, III. Forgiveness-for-Salvation.

Homework Assignments:

Reflection on the Third Sentence: Continue to ponder the third sentence of the prayer. Allow its meaning to resonate with you throughout the week.
Practice the "I am here" Meditation: Regularly engage in the meditation shared by Rev. Deb to enhance your presence and awareness.
The Optional Assignment: If you chose to work with the previous optional assignment, focusing on being helpful to someone in your life, consider what comes to you now as to what to say and what to do in this situation? Trust the direction from Holy Spirit.
Read: Gain further insights by reading the assigned chapter, which will be the basis for our next week's discussion with our facilitators.

Exploring the Prayerâs Second Line: The focus was on understanding and embodying the second line of the prayer. This includes acknowledging our role in serving others and placing trust in the divine self for guidance and healing.
Reflection and Journaling Exercise: We delved into the second line of the prayer, engaging in a reflective exercise designed to deepen our understanding and personal connection to its message.
Reading Assignment: To prepare for our next session, we encourage you to read Lesson 71 and Chapter 4, Section VII, Creation and Communication.

Our initial series will delve into the "Truly Helpful" prayer, a cornerstone of the teachings in 'A Course in Miracles.' This prayer, found on page 28 of the Text, is not just a set of words but a profound declaration of intent and purpose for anyone seeking to live a life aligned with spiritual principles.

In our exploration, we will:

Examine the prayer line by line, uncovering its deep meanings and implications.
Discuss how to apply these principles in our daily lives, turning theory into practical, lived experience.- Engage in guided meditations to internalize the message of the prayer, allowing it to resonate deeply within our hearts and minds.
Additionally:- You can join either our Sunday or Wednesday study groups, each will contain the same study each week. This first series will be about 10 weeks.- Some weeks will be teaching sessions; others will be group reading and study.- Be sure to have your ACIM book nearby and a journal or notebook available.- Teaching sessions with Rev. Deb will be recorded.

Love Without Conflict 7/20/23

I'm aware that there are little scraps of fear and things that I want to hang on to in the illusion. And when I when Jesus talks about being honest with myself and with him. It can be easy for the ego to tempt you into feeling guilty. What I've learned in my interactions with Jesus is to you don't the guilt is not necessary. The Voice for God Brings Joy 4/16/23

My apologies for not being in touch for awhile. Since the last newsletter, weâve welcomed our third grandchild, a boy named Gideon. He was a delight to hold and be with as well as his siblings over Easter. Deb had a health scare but I am happy to say that after many tests and a biopsy, that it was not cancer and she is doing well. It was a tough couple of weeks as we navigated that situation and we are both relieved with the current outcome. Thank you for your love and support of us and MiraclesOne.
