Handling PVP or CvC in Dungeons and Dragons is a really tricky, slippery slope of upset players and frustrated DMs. Personally I have a hardline of zero pvp in my games. What are your thoughts on PvP has it gone well? Terribly? Please share your experiences in the comments below!

Unfortunately for the player, death happens. Often actually. If he, or the party did nothing to reposition or draw the attention of the wraith onto another member then honestly what could they expect to happen? As a DM I treat combat similarly and realistically. If a creature is attacking a party member they will continue to do so unless something else draws its attention. I vote this DM is not the a-hole. It really is wholesome that DND, a fun fantasy game of wizards, warriors, and dice can change a person's perspective on the real world and the people coexist alongside us. Kudos to this DM for really helping his players see this differently in a positive way. The argument about playing a woman and not being a woman was absolutely brilliant.

Have you ever had a home brew spell completely backfire and end your campaign or is this a first? For the second story I am agreeing with the player here. A player will completely control a prior NPC as a PC differently than the DM was. They are, after all, completely different people. What do you think and has a DM ever changed NPC on you completely altering your roleplay and story?

That was the craziest problem player story I have ever heard…I don’t know if that can be topped. Hats off to the party for dealing with the problem and overcoming it as a team. Sweet, sweet justice.

I love inserting a villain into the party dynamic. Some of the best stories will naturally evolve if you let your players interact with the villain on a regular basis. I hope we find out more about the cleric dating the BBEG! Share your stories about problem players are problematic BBEG relationships!

I really like the campaign setting. A hopeless now win situation that is almost certain death for your party. I wonder how the campaign would have gone if they had rolled poorly on getting that note out to the outside world…It’s always a win when the players manage to foil the GM’s plan in a genuine, non-meta game, non-hostile way. It’s so strange to me that people are mad about finite resources or their being consequences for your actions in a game that is determined by…your actions. I understand some players just want the power fantasy and approach DND like a video game and their only interest is blowing up monsters and getting loot. I may be biased because I don’t run games that way or have any interest in playing in a game like that. What do you think? Do you run games that have consequences for your decisions? To be clear, there is no wrong way to play, I want to hear what you think!
