He reports on the Macular Degeneration Aging Study (MADAS) being done at the University of Rochester and the Depressive Symptoms and Function in Older Adults with Low Vision study at the university of Rochester.

In May, New Beginnings celebrates Healthy Vision Month, a national awareness campaign that began in 2003 to draw attention to the need for wellness and prevention programs to maintain eye health.
