    About this Episode

If you're considering a non-surgical spinal decompression, then this video is for you! We'll discuss the benefits and risks of this treatment, and help you decide if it's the right treatment for you. Non-surgical spinal decompression is an important treatment option for people with spinal cord compression, and this video will help you decide if it's the right treatment for you. We'll discuss the benefits and risks of this treatment, and help you decide if it's the right treatment for you. So whether you're considering a non-surgical spinal decompression or not, this video is a great resource for you! Non-surgical lumbar decompression is a type of treatment for lower back pain that does not involve surgery. It is a non-invasive technique that uses a specialized table to gently stretch the spine in a way that can help to relieve pressure on the discs and nerve roots in the lower back. There are different types of nonsurgical lumbar decompression, but one standard method is "traction decompression." This method uses a specialized table with a harness that attaches to the patient's pelvis and a motor that gently pulls the spine to stretch it. This can help to create more space between the vertebrae, which can relieve pressure on the discs and nerve roots, and help to reduce pain, inflammation, and muscle spasms.Health Chatt, Hosted by Dr. Nicholas J. From lifestyle changes to natural remedies, Dr. Nick has got you covered! If you're looking for ways to keep your feet healthy, this video is for you! Dr. Nick Circolone will share the best methods for keeping your feet healthy and pain-free. Dr. Nick has got you covered! So don't wait any longer; learn how to keep your feet healthy with Dr. Nick Circolone's tips! Important reasons to keep your feet healthy include quality of life, productive work, and regular physical activity. Quality of life is critical. Work, shopping, and walking are just a few daily activities that make you self-sufficient. If you have foot problems or your feet hurt, you won’t function at your best. Even if you have a desk job, you still need to get up occasionally. Poor foot health can impede work performance and result in lost work time. And with poor foot health, you’re less likely to engage in physical activity. The result is a higher risk of diseases, such as heart disease and diabetes, reduced endurance, and loss of muscle mass. And if you already have a chronic condition like diabetes, you’ll want to check with your doctor to be sure that you’re doing everything possible to keep your feet healthy. Preventative foot care keeps you on your toes and helps lessen the need for foot surgery.

Trigger Points The Cause of Pain

Trigger Points The Cause of Pain

    What is a Trigger Point:

A susceptible spot that, when touched, causes considerable pain that totally or partly coincides with pain in a specific muscle or group of muscles that are in dysfunction.

Most trigger points can be located by slightly stretching the muscle causing the pain. The spot where you feel a pull or tightness while doing a simple stretch is usually the location of the trigger point.

    Treatment For Trigger Points:

Locate the tender muscle band by gently rubbing your fingers across the muscle fibers, searching for a tender spot. It can be anywhere from the size of a BB to the size of a bean and press! Some muscles may need to be squeezed in addition to or instead of being pressed. You can rub the muscle between your thumb and fingers to find the tender point.

    Treatment Time For Trigger Points:

Treatment time is short, no more than 1-2 min. Longer times can lead to increased inflammation and bruising, resulting in more pain and longer treatment times.

    Chiropractic Causes Strokes???

    Chiropractic Causes Strokes???

Chiropractic manipulation of the cervical spine is a safe and effective treatment. According to a statement by the American Heart Association, approximately one in 1 million cerebral artery dissections (stroke) are caused by chiropractic manipulation. The Journal of Manipulative & Physiological Therapeutics paper "Risk of Stroke After Chiropractic Spinal Manipulation in Medicare B Beneficiaries Aged 66 to 99 Years With Neck Pain." Their conclusion states, "Chiropractic cervical spine manipulation is unlikely to cause stroke in patients aged 66–99 with neck pain. For patients who saw a chiropractic physician, the adjusted probability of any type of stroke was lower than for those who saw a primary care physician." While cerebral artery dissections leading to strokes occur, the incident is so low that the risks far outweigh the benefits to patients. So if you're suffering from any musculoskeletal condition and are looking for treatment options, chiropractic should be one of your choices.
