Worshipping God as an act of homage, that is, an act, statement, or gift that is intended to show special honour, gratitude, respect, or admiration publicly, looks like engaging in practices of Christlike imitation; humility, vulnerability, and self-sacrifice - rooted in love.
.
“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
John 13:35
.
In humility - serving each other, and creating space for the voices and stories from within the community and those on the margins to be heard. .
In vulnerability - being open and honest with one another, dispelling the threat of fear and shame.
.
Self-Sacrificially - laying down our individual wants and needs, and prioritising the needs of others.
Implementing these practises DAILY, moves us away from the danger of becoming addicted to the “Sunday experience” expressing a shallow, hollow Christianity, and moves us towards TRUE discipleship, depth of relationship, and unity with each other in Christ.
"I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought."
1 Corinthians 1:10

The Steeple Church Podcast is recorded on Wurundjeri land in the east suburbs of Naarm - that you will find on a map as Balwyn in Melbourne, Australia.
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of these lands, the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin Nation and we pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging.
Sovereignty was never ceded.
