This is Part 2 of a 3 part series of discussions I had with Margaret Walters which details her life in music and song. It's an extraordinary and interesting story which will rivet the listener whether or not you have had close contact with Margaret. Margaret is an Australian folk icon and one well known to festival goers and folk club afficionados in Australia and abroad.

This is the second and final episode of my interview with Noel Balfour. Noel is an exemplar in the music industry and in life generally. Noel is 93 years old and is planning his next recording. Noel has been recording music composed by he and his wife Lorna Barry who sadly passed away a few years ago. As well as continuing in his musical career Noel is also a restorer of top value cars. He works on them as a hobby for a friend who imports them in bits and Noel does the complete body work on them. His most recent project was a Ferrari Californian worth over a million dollars. This man just never stops and is a huge inspiration to all of us.

This is a wonderful story about the history of Australian country music from a man who was there from its very early recording days in the 1940's and 1950's. Noel Balfour and his wife Lorna Barry were well known in the music industry. Lorna, who together with Dorothy Davidson formed the Barry Sisters, were regular on Australian television in the late 1950's and early 1960's. They were prolific writers of music with much of their music being embraced nationally and internationally at a time when the communication systems available then were a huge barrier to success of this nature.

The second and final part of a wonderful story by Margaret and Bob Fagan. In this episode you'll be introduced to the two stellar Fagan youngsters, Kate and James, James' exceptionally talented wife Nancy Kerr and all of the Fagan grandchildren. Towards the end of this podcast you will hear how they all end up on stage together.
