    Glittering Vices | Gluttony

    Glittering Vices | Gluttony

To start out the new year, we are going to take time to study the seven capital vices. Where virtues are "excellencies" of character that help us live well, vices are the opposite. Vices are habits or character traits that are corruptive and destructive in nature... they are the poisoned roots of the tree that eventually lead to the rotten fruit of sin. Over the next eight weeks, we will study these vices through the lens of scripture and the grace of Jesus. In doing so, we hope to grow in awareness of the battle we fight, and find freedom in His name. In this week's message, Lead Pastor Grant Bruscoe discusses the vice of gluttony.

    Christmas At Summit

    Christmas At Summit

For centuries, followers of Jesus have participated in Advent during the weeks leading up to Christmas. Advent, a word meaning "arrival," is a season where we rehearse the story of God — recognizing that the story of Jesus is not one story among many that we choose from, but its the story of reality. Over the last 3 weeks, we've been slowing down together to ponder, contemplate, and participate in Jesus-centered practices… helping us make room to celebrate the hope, peace, joy and love of God revealed through the birth of Jesus. In this week's message, on Christmas Eve, Lead Pastor Grant Bruscoe finishes our series with the fourth and final theme of advent: love.
