    About this Episode

In this short episode, we look at what our host, Erin, is reading now, what new books have been added to her queue, and a short review of the book The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas.  This book is about a black 16-year old girl, Starr, who lives in two worlds, the poor neighborhood she was born into and lives in, and the suburban, mostly white school she attends. This book was deeply impactful, as was the movie, and Erin goes deep on why this book meant so much to her and why it's important to suspend your opinions and biases when reading.
