Ray Abruzzo- Precipice of an enormous crossroads.

This week, we are thrilled to talk to an exceptional actor, and true Tinseltown original, Spencer Garrett. As we prepared to speak with Spencer, I found myself inexplicably captivated by his presence. It dawned on me that he evokes a long-forgotten romantic vision of Hollywood that I was searching for 24 years ago. It's akin to the ambiance of Jack Nicholson at Dantanas or Bukowski at the drawing room.

During our conversation, we delve into the contrast between this romanticized concept of Hollywood and the realities of our own experiences. Born into Hollywood, in a way, Spencer's mother was none other than Kathleen Nolan, a prominent actress and the first female president of the Screen Actors Guild. His father, Richard Heckencamp, was an esteemed talent agent.

Though his upbringing allowed him unique insight into the enchantment of our industry, Spencer still had to prove himself like anyone else. What stands out to me about him is his undeniable passion for the work. It is a special kind of joy that has sustained him for nearly four decades in the business.

The list of his credits is far too extensive to cover in its entirety, but he is particularly recognized for his roles in notable films such as Air Force One (1997), 21 (2008), Public Enemies (2009), All the Way (2016), and The Front Runner (2018), among many other remarkable projects.

If one were to consider a career in chapters, I would confidently assert that this latest chapter has been one of his most captivating. He stole the spotlight from the likes of DiCaprio and Pitt in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and he is now reprising his role as the legendary Chick Hearn in the upcoming second season of HBO's Winning Time.

We're trilled to have Eric Lange on the show today. Eric is the most underrated actor working today.

Eric played the recurring roles of Stuart Radzinsky on the ABC series Lost (2009) and Erwin Sikowitz in the Nickelodeon series Victorious (2010–13), and had his mainstream breakthrough for playing David Tate/Kenneth Hasting on the FX series The Bridge (2013). He earned acclaim for starring as Bill Stechner on the crime drama Narcos (2016), Lyle Mitchell on Showtime's Escape at Dannemora (2018) which earned a nomination for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Movie/Miniseries, and Lou Burke on the Netflix original series Brand New Cherry Flavor (2021). He currently stars as Detective Gene Holcomb on the HBO series Perry Mason.

Ray is a seasoned character actor with over four decades of experience in film, television, and stage productions.

The discussion starts with Ray's early years, living in Queens, and starting a theater company in the 70s.

Ray played the character of Carmine Lupertazzi Jr. Little Carmine is a capo and the son of Carmine Lupertazzi, the leader of one of New York's Five Families. Little Carmine is introduced in 2002 when Tony Soprano pays a visit to him in Miami.  Tony sought his counsel in regard to settling a dispute with Carmine Sr.  We discuss how The Sopranos completely revolutionized television by capturing the gritty and authentic nuances of life in the mob and creating rich, dynamic characters that viewers can relate to.
