Having grown up a black man in Atlanta, Ryan speaks about his experiences living as a black man in Madrid over the last twenty years and his involvement with the Black Lives Matter movement in Spain. In the episode, Tesa, Dino, and Ryan also discuss results from a survey sent out asking Americans living in Spain about their experiences and observations about race and racism in Spain. Listen for an eye opening conversation on how race relations take a distinct shape while still maintaining fascinating commonalities in two countries with different histories.
