    About this Episode

In this episode of the “because, bikers matter!” ® Podcast with founder & Host David "Vegas" Shuman interviews Alanna Bencivenga, the co-founder of Hi-Viz Flag Company, at the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Alanna shares the origins of the company, which started in Oceanside with a dream of expanding into the off-road industry. Recognizing a gap in the market for flags, especially in the off-road industry, they wanted to make a statement and add more fun and personality to the required flag on vehicles in California. The flags offered by Hi-Viz Flag Company are made of 100D open weave polyester, which has been tested extensively for durability. They have found that these flags last the longest and maintain vibrant colors even after washing and exposure to the sun. The flags are also double-stitched for added durability. Alanna mentions that Hi-Viz Flag Company offers single-sided flags, as they prefer to rock the single-sided look. However, they also sell sets for those who prefer to have matching flags on both sides of their vehicles. The podcast episode also includes a mention of Motorcycle Safety Lawyers®, a sponsor of the show, and their expertise in handling personal injury cases related to motorcycle accidents. Alanna mentions that while California does not have specific flag requirements, other states like Oklahoma require either an orange flag or an American flag above the vehicle. Hi-Viz Flag Company can be found on various platforms, including Instagram, Etsy, eBay, and their website, hivizflagco.com. The episode concludes with David "Vegas" Shuman signing off and mentioning a 1948 Harley Hummer on display at the convention center. He also invites listeners to reach out if they are in the Las Vegas area.

The Godfather of Custom Bikes: Jim Lynch's Tale of Passion and the Biker Community

Welcome back to the “because, bikers matter!” ® Podcast. I'm your host, David "Vegas" Shuman, and in this episode, we had the pleasure of speaking with the legendary Jim Lynch, the godfather and founder of Revelation 1 Concepts and Bike Show Mafia Bike Shows. Jim is not only a custom bike builder but also a pivotal figure in the motorcycle community.

Jim shared his journey with us, starting from his early days riding dirt bikes in the mountains to his close encounter with a deer at high speeds that led him to slow down and explore different avenues in biking. He talked about his transition from trucking to transporting bikes for dealerships along the East Coast and how the COVID-19 pandemic shifted his focus towards organizing bike shows.

The highlight of the episode was Jim's recount of the inception of Revelation One Concepts as a trucking company and its evolution into a hub for bike shows, especially after the success of their first event at the Beaver Bar in Daytona in 2021, which saw an impressive turnout of 237 bikes.

Jim also delved into the challenges and triumphs of hosting bike shows, including the Rally on the Levy in Charleston, West Virginia, and his plans for future events. He emphasized the importance of community and giving back, particularly through charity work and supporting veterans.
