    About this Episode

Planned Companies, the 120 year old family business headed by Rob Francis, employs 3,700, mostly low-wage workers, who clean, maintain, secure and provide concierge services to office and apartment buildings, shopping malls, and retail stores. It’s a very competitive, low margin industry in which companies can secure contracts by simply offering the lowest price, often short-changing  employees. Rob takes an alternate path - one that relies on effective training and advancement for employees, creating a culture of value, as well as educating clients about the benefits of Planned Companies’s approach.
