At age 16, he was charged as an adult for being an accomplice to a felony murder and sentenced to a term of 40 years to life in prison. After serving 22 years behind bars he was released, using his influence to help enact the Incarceration Reduction Amendment Act. He currently uses his newfound notoriety to help those currently or formerly incarcerated by pushing for criminal justice reform.
