How do we get over the end of the national final season? When there’s no new artists to uncover, no nail-biting voting sequences to endure, no more favourites to root for… We put a brave face on, turn on the microphones, and spill what little remains of what once used to be a cup full of tea.

To get us over the major blues, we bring you our first interview of the season, which is as exciting as it is nerve wracking, because we have none other than the Lord of the Odds, Baby Lasagna! And to think that he was not even part of the main line up for Dora - someone is banging their head against the bad decisions wall!

We have been saying for a while that 2024 is one of the most unpredictable lineups in years, and the new songs this week keep adding to a heterogeneous mix that can go any which way come May.

The Eurovision gods have given us a female bop, an infectious rap, the ultimate genre cocktail, a 90s throwback, a male bop, and a Balkan ballad. I guess we're all a little bit of a zorra this week...

Now that's what we call an intense weekend! Ukraine replanning last minute their results broadcast; Norway seeing two major returning artists beaten by iconic newcomers; Malta treating us to a live-on-tape national final for all those pandemic nostalgics; and Spain getting into the 2024 groove cabaret style. What else could we ask for?

We don't believe in such a thing as "enough thrills", so we also want to bring our own battle with two of the most iconic returning divas of all time, covering the highest number of countries in one swoop. Laugh Laugh Please Please is back to regular programming and what could be better than bringing back an old classic: The Battles.

This time around we travel back to three different decades to examine the styles, the trends, the good and the bad, the winners, and the losers… Will the electronic power dressing of 1981 captivate our senses and take the win home? Or will it be the nostalgia-filled 1991 tugging at our heartstrings? Or maybe it’s the 2001 turn of the millennium that collapses our hard drives and glitches us into submission?

For this year’s Halloween we are the ones wearing the costume. We chose to dress up as a true crime podcast, and what started as a little spin-off, ended up spinning us off any form of tracks.
