    About this Episode

The Life of Moses- ep.17 😌 Do we have enough faith to rest?  Rest is intrinsic to the cycles God has designed for us.  Rest must be planned, set aside and protected.  Ceasing from work is so essential to our lives that God inscribed it as a permanent law for his people in the 10 commandments.

This episode examines God's very first official Sabbath instituted for Israel.  We will contextually examine the Sabbath during the time of Moses, trace it through the time of Jesus and then look at what it means for New Testament believers.  It is so good to remember why we need rest and how Jesus fulfills the Sabbath.

The Life of Moses- ep. 19  🤲  Have you ever thought that unity or fellowship wasn't worth the drama?  It's hard to be unified in this sinful and fallen world, even in the family of God...and sometimes *especially* in the family of God.  This episode focuses on the necessity of reaching out when we feel weak and encourages us to press in when we are overwhelmed and stretched.
Israel fights her first battle with Amalek, Moses gets tired, and the family of God rises to the occasion.  We will see connections between this Old Testament account and Jesus's high priestly prayer right before He went to the cross.  An exhortation and encouragement we all need to hear!

    Bitter Pools

The Life of Moses-ep. #15 💧Bitterness is a poison and it can infect our hearts very quickly.  How can we choose grace and forgiveness instead of clinging to our pain?

Israel is on the edge of dying of thirst when they come upon springs of water that are bitter and undrinkable.  Moses is charged with "throwing in a tree" to sweeten and purify the waters.  The undeniable symbolism here shows the purifying power the cross has to our own bitter pools.  Explore your own heart as we consider unforgiveness and talk through practical ways to allow healing and forgiveness to flow, in even the hardest situations.
