School of Clout [Ep. 1]

Welcome back to the Pod. So we are at the age where we like hanging with our friends more than our parents. And we also have cars so its easier to make moves. But have any of your parents made you feel guilty when you wanted to do something with your friends more than hang with them?

Thats what we are talking about on this episode. The progression of kicking our parents to the curb. LOL We discuss the rules that are in place when we live under their roofs but want to have a life. 

Also the Little Mermaid is coming out this week and Lucky has a special date for the movie we make a quick pivot in the middle of the pod to discuss her situation.

So back in episode 8 we discussed how there were a group of black people from the lovely city of Palmdale that came into our school freshman year that were so proud that they made it from "The Dirt" but we had an issue of them questioning our blackness when they said that we were Whitewashed. 

Well one of our "Dirt" friends Drue saw the episode and said he wanted to set the record straight. So for Episode 12 we welcome Drue Watts to discuss what it was like traveling 2 hours to go to Sierra Canyon. 
Did he have culture shock going to a predominantly white school?
Why didnt he and Journey start dating freshman year?
Who did Lucky have a situationship with?
Why did he decide to go to the University of Nevada?
What is being an athlete at a PWI like?

There will be stories told and accusations thrown around. So....this should be a great episode.

Welcome to Episode 11. This is going to feel a little different. Why you ask? Because we recorded the first 10 episodes last year and A LOT has changed since then. Lucky is finishing her freshmen year in college. Journey is wrapping her second season of her tv show. We have a lot of catching up to do. So lets get into it. 

We hit DOUBLE DIGITS. Welcome to episode 10. This episode is all about music. We feel over the last 10 episodes you have gotten a great idea who we are but today you are going to learn about what moves us.  We are going to talk about our favorite artists, concerts, Journey is going to freestyle...no really she is going to try and freestyle...We are going to test the vocals. And also try not to piss off the BeyHive...

Episode 9 and we have questions...LOTS and LOTS of questions. We are two young women and we are talking about our purpose. Do we know what our purpose is yet? Can we have multiple purposes? Can we change our purpose? Do we believe in soul mates? Do we believe that opposites attract? What the heck are twin flames? 

Look this episode is a journey of self discovery. There are a lot of questions...not many answers but we challenge you to ask your friends these questions and see where that path leads you. 

Whats up family. First of all lets celebrate that we made it to episode 8. Most Podcasts don't make it past 7 episodes so let us take this time to celebrate the small milestones.

Ok so episode 8 is called Different Kind of Black. We will be discussing what is like to be young black and gifted but we kick off the episode discussing when we first realized we were black and what that experience was like. What was it like going from the only black kids in the school to being one of many and then trying to re-fit in. 

We also discuss how being black has affected how we do business and how we look at others. What HBCU's were we interested in? We definitely get into it on this episode so go ahead and join us. 

Welcome back family. Its Episode number 7 and we are getting deep. We are talking about self love, mental health, and self acceptance.

• The Different Types of Love
• What our Love languages are
• Our favorite 90's love movies (that we may or may not know who the actors are)

Friends!!! How many of us have them...Friends!!! Yes that is what episode 6 is all about. The company that you keep!!! We will be talking about how are friend groups work. Yes we are best friends but we have other best friends...some we share some we don't but it all works. Lucky lets us know who she likes to spend most of her time with. Journey tells us the one requirement that you must have to be her friend. 

We also dive into making friends once you leave high school and how absolutely annoying it is. Cause now we have to try...either way make sure you join us for the fun. 

No one told me life was gonna be this way...clap clap clap clap...clap? Is it 4 claps or 5 claps? 

Hey we made it to episode 5. And we are talking about Entrepreneurship. Yup both Journey and Lucky are both businesswomen and in this episode they discuss how Gen Z feels about being a business owner. They talk about the brands and individuals that inspire them. Break down some of the best marketing they have seen from brands and how has their being business women at such a young age affected school and personal life.

Oh hey...welcome to episode 4. So yesterday was Valentines Day so in this episode we are going to be talking about dating (or lack there of) and relationships. 

We talk about our disgust of the "Talking" phase of relaitonships. The difference between crushing on someone and actually having an interest. Did you know that one of Lucky's favorite dates was a date in Milan Italy...yeah she discusses that.

Oh yeah Hellcats...Journey has a thing for Hellcats. We also talk about how involved our parents get into our relationships. We definitely Get Into It about all things Relationships in this episode from 9th grade til now the good the bad and the Red Flags.
