SJP #97: Hospitality, Ministry, and How The Two Blend with Kelly Minter

SJP #97: Hospitality, Ministry, and How The Two Blend with Kelly Minter

I am so ready to host! I'm ready to get my cookbooks out and cook for a get-together! Can I get an amen? This quarantine still isn't quite over here in Califonia, but it's getting close! We are seeing some stores start to reopen and churches start gathering again. This episode with Kelly Minter is so powerful because Kelly has such a heart for not for feeding people, but for real hospitality. If you haven't already picked up a copy of Kelly's new cookbook, A Place at the Table, I would really encourage you to do so. It has quickly become one of my favorites. Not only are their amazing recipes, but it's filled with stories on hospitality!

Kelly is really passionate about teaching the Bible. She sings, she writes, she speaks, and she's also known for incorporating recipes into her writing. So she wrote a cookbook! A Place at the Table is all about getting people to come together. It is very hospitality minded — it's so neat!

That's why we're having him back — he was that good! Today, we're talking about his new book, When to Walk Away, and I'm going to honest, this is probably the most vulnerable I've felt in a podcast episode. I feel a little like you're listening to a counseling session! If you ever wanted to know and have insight into Kristi Clover's heart, this is it! I know this episode is going to impact you powerfully, so listen in and listen carefully to his wise words. You know how much I love books, but I really think When to Walk Away is one that every person needs to have on their shelves.

Today we're going to be chatting about A Quiet Strength which is the life and legacy of her mom Jeannette Cathy. I can't wait for you to listen in to this Mother's Day special! I really wanted something special for this Mother's Day episode, and I love that Trudy is a mom talking about her mom. SJP #94: Clutter-Free Home with Kathi Lipp

Today I'm extra excited to have my friend Kathi Lipp on the show. Oh my goodness I have so enjoyed getting to know Kathi — not only are we in the same niche, but I feel like we have the same love language. We both know what it feels like to live in clutter and to dig ourselves out of clutter. I love talking to Kathi, and love that we both come at clutter differently. Kathi has a brand new book out called The Clutter-Free Home. We chat all about her book, her Facebook group The Clutter-Free Academy (a FREE group ... you should join!) I love how she shares about the Bible perspective of clutter, and what the Word has to say about that.

SJP #93: Fear is Not the Boss of You with Jennifer Allwood

SJP #93: Fear is Not the Boss of You with Jennifer Allwood

Today on the show I have my new friend, Jennifer Allwood, author of the book Fear is Not the Boss of You. This could not have come at a better time. I can't wait for you to listen in because everything that we talked about is so applicable for this time. There's a lot of fear going on, a lot of unknown. Fear is Not the Boss of You is going to be such an encouragement to you. This conversation will hopefully strike a cord in helping to remind you not to let fear overcome you. Rest in the fact that God Almighty has got you in His hand, and we can be overcomers in this time.

For those of you who are not familiar with Jennifer, she is amazing. She is a powerhouse! She has an amazing podcast, The Jennifer Allwood Show. She is best known for being a cheerleader for women and adds Biblical truth to the modern-day dream big mantra. She also does business coaching — a big part of her story is how she went from a creative to her business coaching. It's an amazing story and I can't wait for you to hear it!
