Sports Medicine - Episode 1

In Episode 1 we’ll investigate critical question 1 "How are sports injuries classified and managed?". This episode addresses Hard and Soft Tissue injuries, their treatment using RICER and how to apply the TOTAPS method of injury assessment.

In Episode 2 focuses on Critical Question 2 - How does sports medicine address the demands of specific athletes? We look at Children and young athletes, adults and older athletes and females in sport

In this episode we’ll look at Critical Question 3 ““What role do preventative actions play in enhancing the wellbeing of an athlete.” In episode 3 we focus on the Role of Physical Preparation and Sport Policy and the Sport environment.

In this episode we’ll focus specifically, the focus will be on Environmental Considerations and Taping and Bandaging Considerations.

In this episode we look at Critical Question 4 - How is Injury Rehabilitation managed. We speak to former Wallabies, NSW Waratahs physio Malcolm Browne about the role of rehabilitation and return to play policies.
