    And we do this not only with our children, but with our husbands. Why whine and complain? Just ask.

    675 Weakness Is Your Strength

    When you are going for your goals, reaching for those dreams, setting up systems for success, weakness is the last thing you want confronting you. However, weakness is your strength.

    Do you know who uses your weakness most?

    God.

    Every weakness you have is an opportunity for God to show His strength in your life.

    Your weakness is God's currency for you.

    When you're facing trouble and struggles, this is the time you cry out, "Help!"

    If everything was rainbows and butterflies, how much would you cry out? Seek His guidance? And pause long enough to say "Thank you!".

    You weaknesses can actually propel you forward. Because it's keeping you in line with God's plan. Weakness is your strength.

    So when you're having a bad day,

    Draw closer to God as He cries out to you...

    Helen Keller once told the Tennessee legislature that when she was young, she had longed to do great things and simply could not. So she decided to do small things in a great way.

    It's the little things that count. All those single steps in your long journey that brought you to where you are now.

    But it doesn't stop there. Everytime we get to where we want to go, we decide to go somewhere else; new dreams, new aspirations.

    Now that you are breathing again, you can enjoy your Thanksgiving and thrive without guilt. 

    As women, we are the best at taking on the guilty plea whether we do it all right or whether we do it all wrong. 

    Today is your day to let your light shine with no guilt attached. You have all you need, because God has already given it to you. He has equipped you. Don't sweat the small stuff. Think about all the sweet stuff instead. 

    In order to thrive without guilt, you must be willing to be YOU! It's time to take in this special time of the year. 

    The K.I.S.S. ~ Make a promise to Celebrate in Style!

    1. Get your workout in, even if it's a walk! This will elevate your positive emotions and feelings.
    2. Drink LOTS of water! Keep your cells hydrated to stimulate success from the inside out.
    3. Enjoy a serving of your favorites; but don't over do it. Think about taking 3-4 bites of all your favorites. This way the guilt will be left behind.
    4. Be present.
    5. Celebrate each other; celebrate your company. The people who are right in front of you are the most important.

    686 The Bounty of Blessings

    686 The Bounty of Blessings

    When your days have felt like a whirlwind, sometimes it's best to sit back and take in the bounty of blessings before you.

    My week was somewhat hurried; trying to get all my clients coached, podcast episodes pre-recorded, and plans finalized for two days of goodness - the bounty of blessings.

    Somehow with God's grace and His strength, I pushed through all the messes and managed to arrive at the Thanksgiving gathering only 18 minutes delayed. Not too bad for us - as our bigger family always seems to straggle 1 hour behind schedule.

    We enjoyed our time with lots of family - cousins as far down as 5th cousins, great aunts and uncles, and grandparents.

    Later we gathered again the second day, with those who couldn't join us on Thanksgiving.

    Finally the darkness filled the sky but our hearts warmed forever, my mom said, "I'm just going to rest". For her, it was to rest her weary body. She had been cooking for the past 2 days, serving and loving our big family.

    Yet for me, I'm going to rest was more of a reflection. Sometimes we are looking for that special time. But every time is special. Earlier that day we sang Christmas carols around the black grand piano my father gave my mother. 

    Each one shared a favorite soung or played their instrument of choice. I heard my Uncle Joe play a song he wrote just a few weeks back in which his choir sang at Christ the King day at church.

    The bounty of blessings are right before you. Looking for them in black Friday shopping sales, cyber Monday mania. 

    Trying to fill the voids in life are only filled through Christ Jesus.

    As your year begins to wind down, I want you to think about the bounty of blessings before you.

    How are you going to make them the center of your life instead of making the stuff the center.

    Thanksgiving Day is over. Unstuff your life and fill up with the bounty of blessings!
