Mahomes, at just 28 years old, has already surpassed notable milestones, including 15 postseason wins and third place in all-time Super Bowl appearances. The Chiefs' impressive defense and ability to win in various ways further solidifies their status as a dominant force in the league.

    • Patrick Mahomes' Impressive NFL Career and Comeback AbilitiesPatrick Mahomes' NFL career includes multiple Super Bowl appearances, conference championship game appearances, and impressive win record. He is known for coming back from large deficits in the playoffs, leading the Chiefs to back-to-back championships.

Patrick Mahomes has had an extraordinary career in the NFL, with an impressive win record, multiple Super Bowl appearances, and a high percentage of conference championship game appearances. Mahomes has also shown remarkable resilience, coming back from large deficits in the playoffs more often than the rest of the NFL. He is currently on the path to greatness, with some analysts even suggesting he could be the greatest athlete of all time. The Super Bowl LVII victory was a testament to Mahomes' abilities, leading the Chiefs to a come-from-behind win against the 49ers, making it back-to-back championships for the team. While the opposition quarterback, Brock Purdy, was not bad, it was Mahomes who shone brightest in the big moment.

    • Chiefs' Resilience and Coaching Lead to Super Bowl VictoryThe Chiefs' victory in Super Bowl LVII was due to Patrick Mahomes' MVP performance, their ability to adapt and capitalize on opportunities, and their resilience in overcoming challenges throughout the season.

The Kansas City Chiefs' victory in Super Bowl LVII was not a fluke, despite the Niners outplaying them for much of the game. Patrick Mahomes' performance and the Chiefs' ability to adapt and capitalize on opportunities were key factors in their win. The Niners' defense, led by Steve Spagnuolo, put up a strong effort, but the Chiefs ultimately proved to be the better team. Mahomes' MVP performance and the Chiefs' ability to overcome challenges throughout the season, including the absence of Kadarius Toney and distractions off the field, solidified their status as legitimate champions. The Chiefs' success is a testament to their resilience and the brilliance of their coaching staff.

    • Chris Jones' Impressive Performance in Super Bowl VictoryChris Jones shone in the Super Bowl, potentially securing a big payday, while the Chiefs overcame confusion and emerged victorious through QB Mahomes' leadership and resilience.

Chris Jones of the Kansas City Chiefs had a standout performance in the Super Bowl, potentially earning himself a significant payday as a free agent. Despite some confusion over the rules of overtime, the Chiefs ultimately emerged victorious, with quarterback Patrick Mahomes leading the team to a come-from-behind win. Fans, including those in the discussion, were torn between rooting for their favorite teams and placing bets on the game's outcome. The back-and-forth nature of the game kept everyone on the edge of their seats until the very end. Chris Jones' impressive play and the Chiefs' resilience proved to be deciding factors in their Super Bowl victory.

    • Travis Kelsey's impressive comeback in Super Bowl football gameCommunication, motivation, and resilience played key roles in a football team's success, while a missed extra point and a historic field goal were notable moments.

Travis Kelsey's poor performance in the first half of a football game turned into a memorable moment in history due to his impressive comeback in the second half. The speakers also discussed the impact of communication and motivation on the team, as well as the significance of Jake Moody's missed extra point. Despite these setbacks, they admired Moody's ability to set the record for the longest field goal in a Super Bowl. Another topic touched upon was the convenience of feeding dogs with Farmer's Dog, a healthy and nutritically balanced meal delivery service for dogs.

During the football game discussion, it became clear that both teams had opportunities to win but ultimately, the Niners lost the game. Despite some disagreements on the specifics, the consensus was that the Niners were the better team overall.

    • 49ers' mistake in overtime rulesUnder new NFL rules, having the second possession in overtime provides valuable info, which the 49ers missed out on, potentially changing the game's outcome.

The San Francisco 49ers' decision to take the ball first in overtime during their championship game loss to the Kansas City Chiefs was a mistake under the new NFL overtime rules. This decision, made out of habit, prevented the Niners from having the advantage of knowing what the Chiefs would do first and responding accordingly. Under the new rules, each team gets to possess the ball at least once, and having the second possession provides valuable information about the first team's actions. The Niners could have benefited from this knowledge and potentially changed the outcome of the game.

    • Super Bowl LIV: First to Receive the Ball Impacts OutcomeThe team that receives the ball first in NFL overtime has a strategic advantage, and the decision-making process based on opponent's move is crucial.

During the Super Bowl LIV between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, the decision of which team should receive the ball first after the coin toss significantly impacted the outcome of the game. The 49ers chose to receive the ball first and ended up settling for a field goal, while the Chiefs scored a touchdown on their first possession. If the roles were reversed, the Chiefs might have opted for a field goal instead of a touchdown, which could have led to a different result. The odds of scoring in the NFL overtime are different from college overtime due to the full field, but the decision-making process is crucial based on the opponent's move. The Chiefs' analytics team reportedly suggested going for the touchdown first, but the 49ers' head coach, Kyle Shanahan, made the opposite call. Despite his impressive coaching record, Shanahan's decisions in the Super Bowl have resulted in three double-digit leads being blown. Ultimately, the team that receives the ball first in overtime has a strategic advantage, and the decision-making process based on the opponent's move is crucial.

    • Niners Put Up a Strong Fight Against Chiefs but Fall ShortDespite a strong performance and opportunities to win, the Niners' key mistakes and the Chiefs' talent and experience led to a loss in the NFC Championship game.

The San Francisco 49ers put up a strong performance against the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFC Championship game, but ultimately fell short due to key mistakes and the Chiefs' ability to capitalize. Quarterback Brock Purdy played well for the most part, but the Niners' pass rush was unable to pressure Patrick Mahomes effectively. Christian McCaffrey had a decent game, but an injury to George Kittle limited the team's offensive output. The Niners also suffered from costly turnovers, including a fumble by Christian McCaffrey and a punt muff. Despite these mistakes, the Niners were competitive and had opportunities to win, but the Chiefs' experience and talent ultimately prevailed. The Niners' recent history in the Super Bowl is a source of frustration for fans, with the team losing in the championship game in three of the last five years. The Chiefs, led by Mahomes, have been the dominant team in the NFL during this period, and the Niners have come up short each time. The loss was particularly painful for Niners fans, as they watched their team come so close to victory only to have it slip away.

    • Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes' impressive performance in the NFL playoffsDespite speculations of decline, Kelce and Mahomes proved their mettle in the NFL playoffs, with Kelce's near-score and Mahomes' impressive record solidifying their greatness. Reid's impressive record also strengthens his case for GOAT status. The 49ers' loss and the Raiders' defeat added drama to the Super Bowl, which was one of the best in recent memory.

Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes proved their mettle once again in the NFL playoffs, defying speculations of their decline. Kelce's incredible performance, which included a near-score that could have changed the game, solidified his place among the greats. Andy Reid is also making a strong case for the GOAT title with his impressive record. The loss of the Super Bowl is a significant hurdle for Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers, who faced an offseason of criticism despite their excellent coaching and near victory. The Raiders' loss to the Chiefs, with John Elway presenting the Lombardi Trophy, added insult to injury. The Super Bowl was a close game, with the second half being particularly exciting, making it one of the best in recent memory. The NFL offseason has been filled with dramatic storylines, and the Chiefs' and 49ers' narratives have been particularly noteworthy.

Swift made headlines for chugging a beer on live TV, sparking controversy over the NFL's promotion of alcohol. Meanwhile, Jack Black and Jay Z were standouts among the celebrities present. The commercials received mixed reviews, with some highlights including the Paramount+ ad and Kanye West's unconventional cell phone video spot. Guest Josh Larky talks Best Ball, Plus What 2 AFC teams Can't he Draft Enough of?
Episode 6 of the Auction Brief begins with your host Drew Davenport opining on the fact that life, and fantasy football, don't always have to be as hard as it seems. He wanders through the idea that often the meta-concepts will take us most of the way in fantasy football and that losing ourselves in the weeds can end up negatively impacting our results. He then plays an auction game where he envisions 3 hypothetical scenarios that come up during an auction draft and what your move should be in each one. Once he's finished, the Auction Brief brings on guest Josh Larky from the 33rd Team and the two have a spirited conversation about Best Ball strategies including common mistakes, should we stack, and how big of a deal is Week 17 correlation? Then the two dive into players Josh likes, doesn't like and he plants his flag on some of his favorite players from a couple AFC teams that should be a fantasy goldmine. Drew and Josh then end by talking about what we should do with the Chiefs WRs, the Jaguars WRs, Greg Dulcich, and so much more! The great episodes roll on here at the Auction Brief as we hit July! Stay tuned and enjoy! @DrewDavenportFF @jlarkytweets

NFL is BACK!! Texans +9.5 vs Chiefs and Kyle Lowry puts on for Drake Raptors win Game 6 over Celtics!

Oh baby!!! The day has arrived and we've made it! THE NFL IS BACK LET'S GOOOOO!!

What a matchup it is!! DeShaun Watson vs Patrick Mahomes. Texans are getting +9.5 points and that is quite appetizing considering there has been no preseason.

Houston went up 21-0 once upon a time a playoff game at Arrowhead before the Chiefs won 51-31 in fashion!!

Also, I couldn't have been more wrong about the Celtics Raptors game 6. Everyone bit the Celtics bug and that's why VEGAS always wins. Raptors were getting +3.5 and in a closeout game with a team with a ton of HEART and is well coached, was the proper play. I apologize to the few of you listening but I'm confident the Celtics get back to Winning in Game 7!

I'm seeing a Miami and Boston Game 7. As far as Lakers/Rockets Game 4 goes I'd take the points with the Rockets and sit back and relax. Could be one of those Harden games where he goes for 40!

Don't forget to SUBSCRIBE! A 5 star goes a long way much love let's crush these BOOKS remember it's US versus THEM!!!!
