Bernie Goldbach (in the cover pboto) shares observations gleaned from students who contributed to https://flickr.com/groups/digi... and to https://app.napkin.one

Throughout the semester-long Digital Transformation module, we generated transcripts from Zoom calls, from audio collections, and from YouTube. That collection of text has been very useful for students interested in emerging trends and the workplace of 2030.

Saving Audio Notes To Self E101 #audiomo

Saving Audio Notes To Self E101 #audiomo
I'm thinking about workflow associated with audio Notes to Self after hearing Elsie Escobar riff about it on Twitter.

I often make audio notes to self when I see something by using HiQ MP3 recorder to shift content automatically to Google Drive. Then I clear the Drive notifications by sharing the clip into a Notion database. I often elaborate on the audio clip by discovering something in my Notion I can use to make the audio snippet more worthwhile. For this whole process to be sustainable, the audio clips should relate to a goal. The goal needs to be free of bottlenecks. And the content needs to appear in an another channel such as my RSS or Feedspot.

Bernie @topgold apologizes for selecting a poor mic source during episode 98. There are interesting things to learn about paid promotions using Facebook Groups and Twitter accounts. The edtech subreddit delivered more than 2000 views of a short update about young voices recording interviews using Zoom. And we found previously hidden archives of Youth Media Team content safely uploaded to YouTube several years ago.

    Fresh and the Oscars E98

    00:15 Intro by John Stevenson.
00:40 Maeve O'Shea discusses period costumes.
02:50 Lily Christopher & Deema Feehan discuss the Fresh Film Festival.
06:40 Avi Harding & Ryan Heffernan discuss how to capture low light photographs and how the best photographers know when to hit the button.

This live presentation was recorded on a Microsoft Surface Book using Spreaker Studio. The microphone array was misconfigured with a large amount of compression. A lot of corridor noise was captured by the mic setup because both mics were recorded to capture stereo. You can find this episode by asking Spotify to play Edtech from Ireland.
