Matthew is jealous when Max hits a home run, and learns how each person on a team has a different role to play. Meanwhile, Caleb has lost his fleece jacket.

Matthew and Max are assigned a project at school, where they must take action to solve a problem in their communities. Identifying a lack of access to libraries, they work with the park and community center to help all citizens of Willow Creek have access to free books. How can you Take Action in your own community? Identify a problem that you see in your community. Think about the problem, and what you can do to improve it. Research the issue: Go to the library or look on the internet for resources that can help you learn about the issue in your community, and some solutions that you could help put in place. Take Action: Work on a plan for solving the problem. Work with friends and family on your plan, and even connect with people that can help you, such as members of the local government, teachers, or experts on what your problem relates to. Put your plan into motion.

Finley has to stay the night with her Grandad for the first time, and is very nervous to leave her parents.

In the direct sequel to 'Spending Time in Summertime,' Finley heads to Elm Ridge Elementary and discovers that she loves school.

The Brysons go to their Grandad's house with their Grandpa and Nana to celebrate independence day with a barbeque, board game night, football game, and fireworks. Special thanks to Holly for her assistance in the creation of this episode.

Caleb has a sleepover with Anthony and Cooper while Matthew and Finley are watching their cousin Nick's baseball tournament in Hartford.

Coming back from a bike ride on a hot day, the Bryson kids see Alexis Padgett delivering invitations to her fifth birthday party, and are excited to be invited! They make sure to buy her a present before attending and are excited to have a good time celebrating with Alexis and friends.

Caleb goes with his accelerated science program on a field trip to Asheville, North Carolina. He has fun with his fellow aspiring scientists at a science museum, the park, and exploring nature and its processes.
