Hercules and the Captive Women,1963 King Androcles of Thebes (Ettore Manni) commands a ship searching for a threat to Greece predicted by oracles. Hercules (Reg Park) is part of the crew, but the strongman falls overboard in a thick fog. Washed ashore, he saves a young girl, Ismene (Laura Altan), from a shape-shifting creature. She takes Hercules to Atlantis, where he discovers that her mother, the evil Queen Antinea (Fay Spain), has captured Androcles. Hercules schemes to rescue him and thwart Antinea's dream of world conquest.

Escape to Athena, 1979 A ragtag group of prisoners -- Italian chef Bruno (Sonny Bono), British archeology professor Blake (David Niven), American soldier Nat (Richard Roundtree) and Greek prostitute Eleana (Claudia Cardinale) -- befriend each other in a Greek POW camp run by Otto Hecht (Roger Moore), an art-loving Nazi officer. Jebediah S. Hawks is in charge of USS Belinda, an attack transport readying itself to take the war to the Japanese in the Pacific. Hawks whips his crew into shape, intentionally becoming a martinet to ensure the frustrations of his rookie crew center on him, forging them into a concentrated unit.

Spain is overrun by the Moors and the country's only hope rests in a heroic knight known as El Cid (Charlton Heston). He knows a divided Spain cannot stand and implores his countrymen to unify in order to repel the invaders. But a hitch develops in El Cid's campaign: He gets exiled from his homeland of Castile by the region's power-hungry ruler. In the meantime, he attempts to reunite with his estranged wife, Jimena (Sophia Loren) -- who's still upset by the fact that he killed her father.
