    Songwriter Matt Axton (Hoyt Axton)

    Matt Axton is a songwriter in Los Angeles who performs original music along with the music of his father, country & folk hit songwriter and actor, Hoyt Axton.  We chat about growing up on tour with Hoyt Axton and the things he learned about life on the road. Matt's grandmother, Mae Axton, was a famed promoter in Nashville's early days who cowrote "Heartbreak Hotel" for Elvis Presley among many others. 

    Matt continues the legacy of his family with his songwriting and performing, including an Axton family legacy documentary in the works. Matt is on instagram at @mattaxtonmusic
