The Black Flash

The first story this week is about a long haul trucker who had quite the night out on the road alone in the middle of heavily forested area on the East Coast. He saw something, a couple somethings, maybe. The creepiness lingers on this one. The the second story is set in the little unincorporated community of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, located just outside of Terre Haute. A small Roman Catholic liberal arts college, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods is supposedly haunted by the spirit of a faceless nun. The back half of the show features two tales. The first is about the hat man but not how we are used to seeing him and not acting as he normally does. Is it possible that the hat man can find us in our waking hour and be of help to us? Then, a final story about a cryptid we  met back in  an episode in the first year of the show by the same name, the rake. This fan encounter will leave you feeling twitchy.

Dan has two fantastic stories this week. The first is about a bunch of sporadic reports to police and media, beginning in the early 1990s, about people claiming to be social workers and attempting to abduct children from their parents. This topic might not SEEM paranormal, but just wait for it. The second tale is set in small town America, posted by someone who has chosen to remain anonymous and it revolves around a haunted laundromat. Lynze Dazzles us with two awesome fan submitted horror stories. The first takes us camping in Florida. What starts as a fun boys weekend in the woods ends with a lifetime fear of being out there. Then,  we explore and wonder if being open to spirits in one location of your life makes you susceptible to them in other parts of your life.

Hello Creeps and Peepers! Here is the third piece of horror fiction written and narrated by Dan Cummins.  The tale of a mysterious beast that's been brutally killing men for decades in the former gold rush town of Bodie, California. In 1915, a new sheriff, Ezra Calhoun, seeks to finally solve the mystery and set up a showdown with a mystical creature...

Dan kicks off the show with a strange tale from Russia. A water dwelling, creepy creature that no one seems to know what it is. We join him at Lake Labynkyr. Is it just folklore? Or are some kind of leftover dinosaurs or something else living in this lake? Real-life sea serpents? Then, we go back to Wildwood, Missouri’s Zombie Road. While we once shared stories from Zombie Road several years ago - today’s encounters are all new. Or at least, new for us to share. Lynze has a Peeper friendly tale that is rather interesting and then wraps up February with a tale in Michigan about loosing time in the wilderness.

Dan has a murder-mystery-nightmare double header this week. I have a murder mystery double feature. The story of a woman harassed by a psychopath, both before AND after her death, was she not harassed by a psychopath, but something else? The second story is another report of a young woman being murdered under strange circumstances regarding her possible killer, and allegations of a haunting that has followed her death. Then Lynze has three tales this week! Her first involves a creepy visitor to an Air BnB in the middle of nowhere. Next up, an unexplained encounter with who-knows-what during a very private moment. And then wrapping up the episode, our fan story takes us back to the Pennhurst Asylum.

Happy Valentine's Day, Creeps and Peepers!

Dan's first story  is set in the beautiful  Micronesia. We’ll visit one person’s claim of what happened to them while doing some scuba diving amongst the WW2 wreckage of Chuuk Lagoon, a supposedly very haunted underwater graveyard. After that, we head  to Ohio, to the little town of Bellaire, Ohio, where the supposedly very haunted Bellaire House stands. Did a mining disaster and more lead to the home today being possibly infested with numerous entities? Then Lynze has two tales, per usual. Her first is a more lighthearted but still awesome haunted house story where all of the ghosts living there ban together for a common cause. He final story takes us to Vermont and the Bennington Triangle.

Dan has two tales that have an unintentional North America indigenous peoples theme for today’s show. The first is the story of the Santa Fe’s De Vargas Street House, a story that surrounds one of the very one oldest houses in all of America. Then, for his second story we hear the lore of Spearfinger. Lynze has her usual two stories, both revolving around phones. Her first one is a somewhat comical confirmation tale and her second is creepy, creepy, creepy!

For Dan's first story in this poltergeist double feature, we head to Birmingham, England. In the Fall of 2021, Christine Evans claims her family was brutally tormented by an intense amount of disturbing paranormal activity. And the second story is full of roughly the same activity - activity to allegedly have occurred in Fermanagh  County, Ireland over a century earlier in the story of the Cooneen  Poltergeist.

Lynze has two tales, the first of which is  really wild! She shares with us a police officers mysterious encounter with a shadow person. Then its off the the swamps of Florida where we hear about a couple of friends shared experience with a creature of the unknown.
